  1. I need some opinions from you lot on here on straw stacks, I'm investigating the possibility of casting in resin the small Britains bales in a wall formation to fill the front of barns, also in doing them in the flat eight formation to fit the old Britains grab and also in the old 2x2 formation 3 high with one on top how they used to be done many years ago. Is this something that you think may be of interest to people (I know it is to one of you )? Lets hear your thoughts
  2. I will warn you though that there is, I believe, another member working on one of these with the manufacturers permission as well (not Larrington or myself for once )
  3. Give it a go Mark, I do know of a few Larrington ones sitting in nettles about here
  4. I have to admit I did think it was a 187 as well as I didn't know of the 186 until now, never had the leaflet on that one \ Nice to actually see one in action though
  5. Just checked on my paperwork and it is definately a direct release of 2000 pieces worldwide and available through any stockist, the silver McCormick on duals is the same except there are only 1500 pieces
  6. Nice pictures there Have to say I agree with you there, I used to drive a later 110-90 and loved it, great puller and just something about the way they look
  7. Thanks Tris Its the same guy with the Mchale pictured elsewhere, he has 4 wrappers, 3 of which are mounted and just the one 998, comes down to cost at the end of the day I should thing. That camera came in handy yesterday as I could see a string was missing from the bales before the sensor picked up on it properly. Its the older of the two balers but has the better camera (the other is b&w and past it) and seems to have less problems than the newer one with knotters
  8. No, I don't think I would want to anymore. Ever since I was made redundant last autumn it just doesn't hold ther same appeal to me \
  9. I enjoyed it Sean although I did wonder why I was doing it while I was under the baler replacing a lost string with dust dropping down my neck : I'll happily do some baling for them all summer though, makes a change from making models :D
  10. Cheers Mart, think its a 130, not too sure on that though as I( wasn't paying much attention to it \
  11. Here's some pictures from today on the farm, as mentioned elsewhere I have been learning to bale today with the olde of our 2 Welger D4000 balers, this one is now coming into its fourth season I believe. A very good yielding bit of grass with 424 bales coming off it, all should be wrapped by now, this eing done by another contractor who we work in with. First up one of the 7840's rowing up with a Lely Hibiscus, only one rakes width to a swath today as where we put two into one I was baling at 1.2mph whereas it was around 4mph the rest of the time The baler, Welger D4000 "string-cam".......i can pick out the four rows of string and the knots on the bales to see if there is a problem with this The baler controls, screen at present shows the pressure setting at 30% and knotter fan speed Especially for TOG and NH2 heres the other chaps Agrotron and new Tanco wrapper
  12. We were contractors with over 3000 acres where I used to work and still used root trailers for grain, you just can't afford to have a trailer worth up to ?22,000 sitting there doing nothing. Most root trailers can be specced up with grain chutes and roll overs as well which makes them dual purpose
  13. Already mentioned here http://www.farmtoysforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=16595.0
  14. Maybe : It didn't form properly on one end but it was suitable for a 3m one Thanks Thomas I just carried over the ram system I'm using on the beet harvesters, with 1000 split/cotter pins for under ?5 its cheap enough to do
  15. Finally got back to this today and have completely rebuilt the frame as I wasn't happy with the original, the legs are now all resin cast as well to save time
  16. Now there's an idea, frequent customer finance schemes :D :D
  17. My thoughts exactly, mine needs a good workout, not fired anything through it in ages :'( :'(
  18. Nope definately not me as I had tea as well and no beans, i hate the things. Not a picture from then thats for certain then so whats he up to Something to do with dangling your bits in it I think Mandy :D
  19. Oh no he isn't...... he didn't have beans and he had tea and not coke :D It was nice, despite being overpriced

  21. Theres a red Norton this way, some pics of it somewhere on here I took a while back. Probably can paint them any colour you want much like most trailer manufacturers
  22. True but I didn't tell them about the owner, she's worse to tackle than any barbed wire, even scared pikey's off :o :D
  23. Some nice pics there Nick, you done well to catch an ol' Toby bolting as well
  24. I had a better method than that, I'd go and tell them to keep to the footpaths as our gamekeeper could end up accidently shooting them whilst contolling vermin in the fields if they didn't, worked a treat every time
