  1. We used to have a big mushroom farm locally here, I can remember looking round it when I was in the YFC over 10 years ago, found it very interesting. Sadly they ceased trading a couple of years back as far as i know \
  2. Usually water, often mixed with anti freeze so it doesn't need draining in the winter, although the one we borrow at work is filled with waste oil so it doesn't need draining and doesn't rust from the inside out either
  3. I'd guess that it was the Claas knowing your new found love for them :D Nice pictures though Phill, hope you got that clamp nice and tight :D
  4. No worries there Marky, drips can only get bigger : :D :D
  5. No problems, I have his catalogue here but the picture isn't very clear. I think if you ask him he will e-mail you a picture
  6. I don't think it is, never looked too hard at it yesterday. No comment : :
  7. Still quite a few of the smaller farms using them here Anyone would think you are connected with Vicon in some way :D :D
  8. Walker Parts do a set which are 56mm x 33mm and 45mm x 25mm if they are of any use to you walkerparts@planet.nl
  9. Have you got approximate sizes for them (cm/mm width/height)?
  10. i have a leaflet on it somewhere. If its like the later ones it sits behind the cab in front of the tank
  11. Cheers Marky. No telling what he wants for it, I can let you have his number though if you want to find out
  12. that one goes on the back and is basically an inter row sprayer, puts a "band" of herbicide between rows of sugarbeet or similar
  13. It was before I went round his yard, it's now even worse Paul :D I thought that you would like that Mart, and it is indeed a Ford shovel there
  14. None taken John, thats one yard where you need a good couple of hours to wander round to see everything, must be 3+ acres of "usable" machinery and another acre of breakers
  15. I had to go into a dealers yard in town today for something so took a few pictures for you guys Ford 8210 Ford 3600 4wd Ford 4600/loader...... ....a brace of them Ford 4600 4wd Teagle bale chopper : Band sprayer Sands SP sprayer, David Brown based Large set of chain harrows Dutch harrow Kidd mower conditioner Cooks bale sledge Taarup 406 Forage harvester This is just a small sample of the hundreds of bits he has in stock
  16. Nice bit of work there Batcher Have they never thought of towing the wrapper behind the baler
  17. I'd say give it a few hours and you'll see whats happened to them
  18. That was my comment as well :D Think I'll be starting to learn next week when we start doing our haylage and other peoples silage
  19. The control box looks complicated enough let alone those thingy's known as knotters. One of them even has its own battery and alternator fitted so won't do anything if it loses it's charge
  20. Your mates spot on Tris as we use 2 old lorry flatbeds to cart them with and they fit perfectly across the bed with straw bales, better still if you load them right you only need one or two straps. I'll probably be on one of our two, means I need to learn how to bale now :D
  21. I know where I worked during the winter they ran a fleet of 8 10 ton ECE and Richard Western spreaders, usually as two gangs of 3 spreaders and a loader and two spares, it was quite possible with a spread rate of 3 tonnes an acre of turkey litter for them to cover 150+ acres a day
  22. Must be a good 17 years or more since I last saw one of them here. They did live on under the Underhaug name into the 90's in red and grey livery once Ransomes finished with them as well
  23. As most of you know, I'm a big fan of Renault tractors so I thought I'd have a go at giving one a make over. In between beet harvesters this morning I carried out a chassis transplant on a Britains 103-54 using a UH Valtra C chassis, still got a lot of detailing to do but I think it's a vast improvement on the original, let me know what you all think

    Marshall trailer

I'd guess the same applies to a Bunning's trailer, like Baileys they are very well made, especially when you stand them next to an AS one Interesting pics though John, must be over 10 years since I last went round Bunning's place here, the kit was a bit different back then
  25. Oh deere, oh deere. Think you'd better read up on baler terminology :D :D
