  1. If you were going to leave it as a spring tine, the most popular one would have to be the Kongskilde Triple K i would imagine, peg tooth wise besides dutch harrows all I can think of at present is the Wilder Pressure harrow
  2. What sort of harrows are they Sean, spring tine or peg tooth?
  3. I believe Zetor seperated around that sort of time Zetor Uk are based near Downham Market here in Norfolk, when the Zetor Dealer-Bexwell Tractors-packed up they took over their large site on the outskirts of the town, formerly they were brought in by Motokov at Kings Lynn
  4. I've only ever seen one of them before and that was over 10 years ago. There is a big downside to them in that all the bales have to be wrapped in the same place and in one line, when it comes to taking the bales bac to the yard you have no choice than to leave them unwrapped and open to the elements \

    Fiat 160.90

Nice pictures Noel, I love those 90 series Fiats, the styling and the engine note, just something about the things. I liked the 110-90 I used to drive much better than the F140 we had as well, just a great little tractor. If I were to buy a tractor it would either be a 90 series Fiat or an older Renault
  6. Great pictures James, I do like the last one though :D :D
  7. Nearest ones that I have to that size are UH Claas Cougar wheels/tyres at approx 22mm x 55mm or the Britains NH CX880 combine front wheels measure at approx 25mm x 62mm
  8. No worries James, If you want to know more about the Vydate and the details and precautions in using it take a look at the link below, should give you an idea as to why I don't like it http://www.gbr.ag.dupont.com/common/uploaded_files/6610123/18_6610123_Vydate%2010G.pdf?productid=18
  9. It is Martin, it was banned on sugarbeet two years ago but you could still use it on carrots and parsnips (work the logic out in that one ), I did post some pictures of one of its replacements when I was drilling beet last spring, still just as evil \
  10. The hoppers on top of the destoner are for putting granular pesticide into the soil whilst destoning. These help to control soil bourne pests and diseases, the operator is required to have a PA4 certificate to use them though as they are deadly poisons, one that used to be used was called Temik 10g and one small grain of it, less than 1mm across could kill a sparrow \
  11. It happens in the case of early potatoes quite frequently, although I have seen some asparagus under polythene today as well
  12. Potatoes are often put under polythene as well as carrots, parsnips or strawberries
  13. Can't be certain on the Scanstone bit Mart, I only know about Netagco as they had a few other arms, Netagco Welvent done crop drying floors as we had one fitted and it was a load of trouble, they also got mixed up with Spaldings parts and workshop equipment, both of which are trading in their own right again now I believe
  14. You won't find a site relating to Netagco anymore Mart as they went belly up a couple of years back, got too big for their boots, I believe Reekie is a seperate company again now, possibly going as Scanstone but not sure on that one

    Spreading Fert.

Our's wouldn't operate at that speed as it was only the base model with no electronics on it, mind you I would have probably been shot if I worked at that speed. The boss and other guys believed 10 kph was a better speed, my argument was if the charts say it's accurate at that speed, we have 1800 acres to get round so surely going a bit quicker makes sense.... the boss came round to that way of thinking along with two of the guys but the 3rd one would rather drag the job out for overtime \

    Spreading Fert.

I was travelling at 14kph and doing 250kg a hectare with no help but all the fields were within 1.5 miles of the yard

    Spreading Fert.

In the past I have managed to do 340 acres in 8 hours with my old Renault and a KRM on 24m tramlines when I was on the estate
  18. I'd guess that they could well have been, I know we followed the old M3 when dad was driving it and he was doing 22mph and I know that the 4/60 is capable of it as well, drop them into 5th and they take off don't they :D
  19. Ford, 7610 is 4 cylinder and 7810 is 6 cylinder which is why it was one of their best sellers
  20. 7810 is 100hp in standard form and 120hp or more if its been tweaked up and turbo'd
  21. eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeewwwwwww yuck, I'd have the Landy over that any day Rick :D
  22. Cheers Ben. I really need some good pictures of one of these though as I have very little to work off at the minute and the online brochure doesn't really give enough details of what I need \ Cheers, I'll start off with a 4 row but may have a go at a bigger one later at some point, possibly 6 or 8 row telescopic one
