  1. Exactly the opposite in fact Mart, it's fairly heavy soil on quite a chunk of that field.....you may notice that the legs aren't in the ground though, did try it with them in 4-6 inches and it did pull it at 3mph. When it hit a patch of loose soil the tractor buried itself though as it wasn't heavy enough for the job. It's just so dry and hard on there that we could get away with a tractor that size, mind you it did drink 3/4 of a tank of diesel in the 5.5 hrs it took to do the 22 acres \
  2. The going rate for Cougar wheels is around ?6 a pair including postage if thats any help to you Nathan
  3. Well today it was decided that it is getting on so the hemp needed drilling...... into the field metioned elsewhere with no moisture in the top 6 inches My boss had a cunning plan to get the moist soil on top though, I was dispatched with the Simba Solo to disc it deep enough to do the job and it has worked well and should be drilled by this time tomorrow and rolled in all being well. Got a couple of pics on my phone today of the tractor and Solo....... Ever seen a bog standard TS-A 135 pulling a Solo 330 :o :o
  4. What you mean is you'll send me plenty of pics from the leaflets that I sold to you in the first place and then ask for a discount :D
  5. You finally got to have a play with one then Marky :D Think I may have to go and have a look at one myself at my dealers, not that I can afford to upgrade my one at the minute. Like you say I think i'll give it a good couple of years before I think about getting one of these new ones as well, skip the td5 and jump to these ones, should be a few more about then
  6. The 60 series in general were excellent tractors if they were well maintained, as I was telling John at Spalding we bought an 8560 with a dubious record where I used to work and got rid of it after 2 months as it suffered with mechanical faults, manifold bolts cracking off and oil leaks, however the one replaced it with was no trouble in its 6000hrs it done with us apart from an electrical fault caused by the alternator just after we got it, already having clocked 2000hrs. The next 6000 went by with just routine things you would expect on a 7 year old tractor in daily use such as hub seals. But locally to me I have not heard of anyone suffering from a bad 8360, just seemed the 8560 could be a troublesome model so as this topic concerns an 8360 I'll agree with all the positive comments about them
  7. We're looking at 10-14 days before we make our first cut of haylage here, grass is just starting to get seed heads on it
  8. I know they were at the Doe show and also at LAMMA in January, so am pretty sure thats right
  9. Now that just makes it more annoying doesn't it Sean, you try to lessen the cost for them and they still kick up a fuss about it
  10. Surprise surprise, he's quite a regular feature in this topic :D :D

  12. Warm, dry, windy and sunny again today...... According to my boss this morning the long range forecast for May is predominantly dry with no talk of much rain at present but hey what do they know, they usually can't get it right from one day to the next :
  13. Its just a freak accident Nick, whenever anything happens we all tend to go through the blaming ourselves stage, it's human nature
  14. Know what you mean about them Marcus, yet there was a farmer locally who swore by one of them and ran it for years on a big MF 26**, was running it until around 92/3 I believe. Don't look too bad for silage bales though really \
  15. Nice pics Nick.....take it you didn't get any of the control panel for it then Ever thought about using photobucket for loading all your photo's onto :D
  16. Looks good Reece Glad you managed to get it back together from the heap of parts you sent me a picture of yesterday :D :D

    Tracked Fendt

You're right, you don't have to look too hard to see that with the Fendt one either
  21. No it wasn't, somebody has changed New Holland TM190 to Zetor, which, unless Ian done it himself, shouldn't have happened \
