  1. Holy Smoke Gavin I'm crying with happiness you are one hell of a scratch builder ;) Thanks Gav. This is like the Oscars, I'd like to thank The Other Green for helping me find the info on the blower and deck and Gav for the build :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(  Holly Berry eat your heart out. Now I'll get building the silo ;) Here's two pics of both now decomissioned silos near me. I just have to go now to find some 9 inch pvc pipe ;)

Thanks Garret, only too glad to be of assistance. You've made me blush now :-[:D :D ;)

I'm glad that you had the info on this as I spent over an hour yesterday afternoon trying to find colour pictures of it on the internet with no success, all I could find was the document that you had sent me :-\

  2. I hadn't a clue what he was talking about when he asked me to build it, I'm glad he found someone to build it in the end.  :)

Have you built the blower yet??

I hadn't got a clue either until I saw the pictures, stirred a memory of a pic I'd seen in a kids Usborne book years ago. Not started the blower yet, thats going to be the more awkward of the two to build I believe :-\

  3. In a years time won't we only know the figures for the last of the 20 series???

Thought i read something somewwhere about there being a year delay before results are published??

there foreonly know how 30 series is doins in 2 years time??

Thats right, it was in the Farmers Weekly a few weeks ago that they can't release the current years figures until the following year due to some rules or regulations

  4. A model idea..... ::)

Why not make the GRIMME side slew draw bar kit for the 3pt linkage so that you can pull a 4 row planter on de-stoned beds with out runing over and soft soil.theres alot of siku 4 row planters getting about ppls places they might be worth making there only a >T< shaped bit of steel upside down realy with a ram to push the palnter over one way simple but handy even the real thing has stuff all detail on it. :)

Thanks for the suggestion Ollie, I'll add it to the to look at list for when I get a chance ::):D :D ;) Definately makes sense though :)

  5. This is something that i have never seen in the flesh so was something of a novelty when i was asked to make it by a certain barn building member on here. Used in conjunction with a blower it is used to fill up silo type silage bins, with the load being tipped onto the bed and then being tipped up onto the back section of floor before being pulled through a pair of beaters (yet to be fitted) by a slatted floor and then conveyed into the blower. I'm sure that Garret can answer any questions on the workings of one of these better than i can. It's managed to keep me out of trouble all day today though ::):D :D ;)

  6. Good idea whoever thought of it, but I guess you could only have the conveyor in one particular position otherwise the product would spill all over the floor wouldn't it....  :-\

Yes, this was made for a particular persons requirements with the elevator height measurements i was given, it can easily be altered to adjust to any height though :);)

  7. Handy mate, maybe the addition of some slots somewhere so it can be shifted with teleporter?

Cheers Tris. You'd just stick the tines under the cental bar on it ;D:D;)

got all guns blazeing at the moment gav ,i'd wait till you catch up with the orders you have before you post another brainstorm :)

This was an order which I'm happy to say has turned into more orders, think i'll take your suggestion on board though, at least until the end of next week :D;)

  8. Cheers lads much apreciated and to everyone just a real kick in the teeth i think found out from another mate that another so called mate has been textin everyone i know spreadin rumors about me, my work and the gf so been a real sh!t 2 days if im onest. Bad enough it was one now found out it's two and as far as i can remember i havnt done anythin to either of them for the matter of fact i was gonna give one our george forman grill as he wanted to cook in our hostels...  So now im just thinking screw him >:( >:(>:(

I have a suggestion as to what you can do involving your George Foreman Grill and your so called mate, may bring tears to the eyes of every man on here though ;D::) ::):D :D ;)

  9. The game keeper had one of those balers for doing his pheasent run bales and the oat bales for the kennels with where I used to work. Good baler if you didn't push it too hard. We soon learnt that 15-20' wide cuts were enough for it, the first year he had it we never thought and I cut full 25' widths in good winter barley, the poor blokes leg was aching from riding the clutch on the Ford, none of the estates tractors had a gear slow enough, it was spitting a bale out every metre ;D::):D :D ;)
