  1. Thanks Mark I'm not really an arable kind of guy but they were cheap enough to add to the slowly growing collection
  2. A Little update to the collection after the Lakeland Show..... First up is a 16th scale Ritchie 56 bale transporter hand built by Rob at Agri-Modelz, I think it was his first 16th build and it's a great addition to my collection And second.... Found on Ken Davies's stall and once part of Ken's own collection are this set of Parmiter discs built by Andy at Classic just over 12 years ago in 2002
  3. Some great additions to a fantastic collection there David
  4. That's an impressive sight John thanks for posting
  5. Be great to see a pic of your collection all together John nice to see you found another couple of variants too
  6. Not a problem Justin... glad to be able to pass on the bit of knowledge that I have about it Although a big thanks must go to Joe for posting the link to the full story Cheers Joe
  7. As far as I know Justin... the latter end of Kidd were under the Tarrup ownership, as some of the Kidd machinery was issued in Tarrup red( some with kidd decals some with the smiley cow), Tarrup then got swallowed up by Kverneland, but at a discussion with Steve Harris at Toytrac this year... Kidd are back building some items of farm machinery. Not sure of dates of the mergers though but I do know that Tarrup were building foragers for a long time in Denmark....
  8. Thanks for all the comments Jack, Christian, David and Justin It's been demo'd on a 7000, so I guess it'll be the tractor of choice for now Jack, although time will tell Hard to say what will appear next off Andy, David.... I'm waiting on the Kidd that I actually ordered, but I know he's busy building a batch of JCB's at the minute, but I'm sure whatever it turns out to be the wait will be worth it Your not wrong Justin. Andy would do a hell of a job of a 717 and really suit a 7600 or my County 974..... As Christian said " Magnifique"
  9. Cheers Mark and Barry hopefully the collection will continue to grow .... even though I haven't had time to build anything myself lately but hopefully that will be sorted for next year....
  10. A couple of pics of the Flails, Auger and Flywheel.....
  11. The Latest addition to the slowly growing collection.... After a chat with Andy, his loaned Demo'd Kidd Double Chop mk2 now has a permanent home here in the Valley, Built to an earller spec than the one I have on order, this one features the earlier mechanical controls for chute, half set of three knives in the flywheel as opposed to full bank of six and earlier slam type pick up hitch, features also a full set of individual flails and working adjustable spout and flap..... built to Andy's usual high standard and a credit to his building talents
  12. Nice photo's Gary liking that TW and NC combo That TW looks to be on bigger tyres than a standard Marge...... what are they off?? Because it helps make it
  13. Happy Birthday David (Dm434) Hope it a cracking day for you. All the best Paul and Lynn
  14. Great to see Bob's back to his old tricks again Brendan
  15. Cheers Brian Aye Andy builds some fine pieces. I appreciate your comments on the collection too, most of it tucked away at moment, working on plans for a nice sized display case when time allows. I'm glad that it brings back some memories no matter how hairy the moment was for you at the time
  16. There were one or two that painted or chalked it on up round here Sean, but most round these parts had it daubed on a tatty bit of plywood or tin and tied it on to the tailgate with a bit of bale twine..... Although I did see a transit van parked in Davidstow with a similar sign on its back door....... but it read " No Hand Signals.... Eating Pasties"
  17. Will do Bud I'd best get these "no signals" signs made up
  18. Cheers Justin and David aye both of these two will be making the trip up to Lanark you might say there could be a bit of a silage theme for that display
  19. The second of the MF21 / Weeks 3.5ton has arrived down in the Valley , this one again in Andy's standard format of handbrake only, and early type exposed screw parking jack..... but this time the standard trailer fitted with hardwood drop sides and floor (as opposed to the standard metal sided and floored variants), but fitted with the metal standard type silage kit, and split two section tailgate. Again without lights so guess i'll need to make a pair of the " no signals" signs now
  20. Cheers Pat and Justin Though credit where credit due and that must go to Andy for building these fine models..... Your right about the sign too Pat, written on a tatty scrap of old bit of tin or bit of old plywood crudely painted up and tied on , According to Andy he's plans to do the Weeks Twin7 7 tonner in the future too, but I've another 3.5tonner to come, again finished in the MF 21 colours and with a silage kit added but the body is a different style to the one pictured above .......
  21. Cheers Chris. Aye Andy's models are always worth the wait
