Britains have just put a lumpy price rise through! Stock in hand shouldn't change, but the increases will filter through soon enough!

just back from a meal for the other half's birthday(was actually Tuesday) , at our usual special occasions restaurant ,kuku, an Asian fusion tapas place, tomorrow is an evening out for a good friends 50th, followed by sunday lunch for a full family outing for the wife's birthday. how can a birthday last a week 😀😀😀😀
I needed to gain browny points (get back into positive territory) with my wife after buying another Freelander, so took her out for 3 meals in the space of a weekend! So the moral is to make sure you bank those points Sean!

I reckon there will be a few variations on the same theme. The NFTS versions always have a little more to them.

Has anyone got any ERTL/Grandes Marques Land Rover/Range Rover/Freelander/Discovery models in 1/18 scale for sale?
Thanks.

Unlike most traders, they can afford to sell them that cheap 🤬! Good for the buyer though!

planned a day in the shed, managed an 1 and a half hours, step daughter slipped on the stairs this morn, had to drive her to A&E which was quiet ,but she has managed to break her big toe in 3 places ,so has to be pinned, also dislocated the joint ,heard her scream when that got put in place 🫣 despite having anaesthetic first, shes also broken two small bones near by in the foot, so shes now in a weird support boot, and cant drive for 6 weeks odd, and maybe more if the op to pin it is required quickly, as the breaks in the toe are pretty bad and it wouldn't all sit right when they tried to reshape it once it was relocated properly , seems the next few weeks are gonna be busy running kids to all sorts. for me and the wife.
You dare to make plans! Back to taxi services - know the feeling!

Definitely caught the AT Collections bug - Volvo EC220E 360 Crawler has come home - again a fantastic model - proper diecast weight and great detail.

Folks are going to need serious money to keep up with that lot from UH, let alone any other manufacturer releases!!

MB Tracs and Fendts are just re-releases or tweaks - unless they have updated anything..... It will be interesting to see the prices as the recent re-releases have been much the same price as previously. If they are similar then Wiese are going to look good value compared to say MarGe whose prices have jumped recently.....

i have to say that they do look very nice, and despite being way to new for my collection normally i may well get one, does any one know if they have more than just the silage fork on them? buckets or pallet tines ect ?
Don't know Sean, I haven't seen any photos other than with a silage fork and the description is '...with silage fork', so I guess not. However, AT are good at coming up with attachments for their stuff, so who knows! When they come in, I will take a few photos, unless someone beats me to it!

Don't want to breed anymore excitement, but it is a little unfair to single out Spalding - see the link below:

These venues are not cheap to hire, heat or insure.

These should hopefully arrive in the UK next week, if not the week after. It will be very interesting to see what they are like, from the photos they look great and in the scheme of things not bad value.......

decent mark up on them as well -don't think retailers have that margin now?-44%
Indeed! Knowing what I have to sell stuff at, certainly not that much! Mind you the internet wasn't a thing then - makes a huge difference. You would struggle to make a living out of a local shop nowadays - which is all there was back then, so much better too.....

Britains are toys made for children.
They are doing the cheapest and strongest way of manufacturing to suit their customer base. A child won’t really notice the difference in say a cab or bonnet design. I don’t see why a collector would want them unless they are using for a conversionTotally agree. I don't understand why anyone would expect a 100% accurate 'model' from Britains, they are just toys, as you say. Lets face it, a MarGe is not 100% and that is a 'model'.
Britains, as all manufacturers do, are re-using castings. This has happened over many years and will continue to do so. The only thing changing for sure is the cost price!

Britains 2023 New Releases

Agree, sign of the times. Good example is the Kane silage trailer, gone up just over 20%! To be fair it varies model to model, but at RRP to buy a small tractor and grain trailer would cost the carpet farmer around £50, just seems too much to me. Some folks would have to work over 3 hours for that! So the shift may come if it's anyone other than those with plenty of disposable income!
