" At this moment "?? very interesting Atte, Thank you.

    Regards

    Joe.

Depends on how many pieces they (MarGe) need to make - they could easily swap wheels etc. around to create another version maybe?  Personally I will just get the Claas TT versions - you can only have so many combines - especially as they are not on the small side!

Anybody know which Claas dealers are doing pre orders in the uk?

Mine are coming from Manns, they have several locations, but any of them should be able to get hold of them, well maybe.....

  3. Well its a good deal, that is if anyone manages to find my items, as 20% is a good chunk off!  For example the MarGe 400 Magnum would be £76 posted, I would buy one if they weren't mine🤣  Just weird that it only seems to be this account - I even asked the helpline and they couldn't find any other accounts where you could use it.....🤔

I’m sorry Phil there is nothing else in the RX category the rest are half tracks and poor in comparison in grip and turning so think the JD will start making ground we just bought one to replace a CAT and we are a Fendt farm we tried them all and the RX was a no brainier sadly the nearest was the axion but that will slip it’s track in the wet and still not as powerful in field for grip

    Fantastic photos though

Agree Phil, one of my growers has just replaced 2 Challengers with one 8RX and having had a go on an 8RX410, I have to say they are brilliant, the effect on turning headlands alone is enough to sell them.  A little unsure about the massaging seat though - felt a bit wrong:unsure:

There is just one version of the 4890.i dont understood why .The white and black one is simple to make from this casting .

I have just got a couple of the 4890s from the U.S. - you can still get them brand new - at great expense!  The Toy Farmer version was only ever going to be produced as a limited ish run (5700 odd pieces) and then not re-issued as per the agreement with NFTS.

I have been looking online and the retailers are starting to advertise the new Britains releases for the first half of this year. Huge price increases, the John Deere's around £27 - £30 and the Casi IH Arctic thing at £45. Toy money they are not. The JCB dumper not bad at around £21. The New Holland and Dump trailer is near £50, doesn't seam good value to me. Be very interested in the sales figures this year.

It's the sign of the times I am afraid, most manufacturers are increasing prices, for a number of reasons.  For example I am staying well away from the new UH Valtras - they dont seem good value.  RRP for the 2021 Britains releases are an indication of the cost to suppliers - there aint that much money in them!  Though like you say, the sales figures will tell the ultimate truth.  Its all relative though - when I was a kid and buying Britains, I thought that £2-£5 was a lot of money!

When life has a chance to get to a normal, albeit a new normal will Spalding still go ahead?
And what is the future of other shows? is there an appetite for other (new) shows should some of the current (pre pandemic) shows not continue in the future??

An interesting one Charlie.  I think we are all of the opinion that at least in the short term, the pandemic will change life - to a greater or lesser extent - permanently.

Certain trade only shows were, I would suggest, in decline as the ongoing effect of online sales bit into their market share, the pandemic can only have sped this up.  On the flip side those with a display bias were the opposite.  Consumers of the product are more tech savvy now - perhaps leading to a permenant partial shift to sourcing remotely.  This could therefore impact on the viability of shows, certainly you would have to be brave starting a new one up I would say.

As for Spalding specifically, this was the only show I went to - just because of work and family committments and I do live in Suffolk - so I have to travel a long way to get anywhere!  I think it would be a great shame to lose any shows as they are a 'traditional' part of our hobby and a great place to chew the cud with folks, however, I can't see a return to a pre-pandemic show calendar soon - if at all.

It maybe going for good money but I bet the winner never pays up. Good luck to the seller though. If somebody's prepared to pay the price then who are we to criticize. Glad I've got one though:)

What amazes me is that its not even a limited edition - I paid less for my Gold Britains 8340T and there were only 102 of them made!  Like you say though, its only sold when the money is in the bank!
