As far as I know thats the standard issue box.  My belief is that the all red box is the U.S. version....?

Well my belief was wrong, doh!  Consulted my oracle and it was only available in the rainbow banded box just like Cyrils.  I blame it on age.....

Prob just found a loads of boxes in the back of the warehouse , need the space :D , whilst i ain't a jd man , and didn't buy them first time round , i wouldn't say no this time if they do get re released

Could be, who knows what they have knocking about!  RRP is going to be about £30, so better than the current prices!

Whilst I am sure the Deere re releases will be welcomed widely, surely one Deere, one Ford (6600 for example) and an IH 956 would have been better?  Good variety and all seem sought after these days?

It may be a trial re-release to see how many they shift?  It could follow that more are re-issued, who knows?

The major looks promising but I would have thought they will re do the “ heritage” one not the origional one?
Agreed Justin, a step in the right direction. :)

Would think its more likely to be from a version of the original as the heritage one (assuming you mean the one on the plinth with Henry Ford) was a resin model from memory.  Also it would probably be along the lines of the ERTL John Deere 'tractor with man' release for their 75 years - the original casting or very close to.......

Yes that's right, we just stayed the night in a B&B and moving onto Southwold today.

Spotted a Claas Challenger yesterday too, got a few photos of that too will post up some time.

I was in Southwold last night for fish and chips!  Mrs Ts down by the harbour is where i would recommend;)

  7. Its an interesting development in our hobby, these prices.  I have recently sold something which made twice as much as a fixer upper than a mint boxed one I bought 6 months ago, a fairly rare piece, but never worth that in my humble.  Which leads me to further wonder why prices are so bonkers......  The Britains SG2s are the best current example - they are afterall just a toy and i believe prices will fall back!  But are there a lot of folks joing the hobby now versus a year or two ago - without 'the knowledge'?  For sellers its great, better than putting your money in the bank, but for those who are starting out, (as i did 25 odd years ago), it is extremely difficult to build a collection without a shed load of money!  The trick is not to rush into a bidding war with someone, bide your time, set a limit, stick to it and one will find its way to you eventually - my mantra anyway!

What is Ebay gone like I have 2 of them bought them for £20 each like day for a model collector buying is gone now price way to much .

I really dont understand Cyril.....  It is afterall only a Britains tractor!  Like I said I do hope Dave gets paid - good on him if he does.  Ebay has indeed gone bonkers over the last few weeks/months and as you say for a collector, its not good.  My advice would be to let all the nut cases pay that money, then when they have bought theirs, the prices should drop - there will always be another pop up!

So I was watching one like this, was sat at £35 or so. Ended at £60ish. Said the reserve hadn't been met, so I messaged the seller asking them what the reserve was set at they said £125. And said these are one of a kind, as the 3050 only comes as a 2wd and they changed it to 4wd and added some extra detail.

I think the point is Lee that the decals on the 40's and 50's are stickers rather than tampo printed (I had one or two in the early days without a sticker on), so you can easily take one off one piece and put it on another - no need for an axle swap (not saying thats what he has done).  Other than that it looks like a standard issue model.  These are well over priced for what they are in the first place, but adding that kind of money on for very little work is taking the mickey!
