Ah that ferry brings back happy holiday memories. Was going to walk/swim across it on the last day, but thought better of it.

Bought it about a year ago from a vegetable farm in Sandy near Bedford, who'd had it for about 12 years do about 30 acres a year. Was originally owned by a Government plot farm, so has been used to nice light soil all of its life. Has the OU bodies and is very straight and looks good. Also want to sell my Fergie 2 Furrow Convential, which is smart again. They're both smart ploughs and I'd rather not part with them, however I need a bigger plough and a Dowdeswell 3+1 just gives me a lot more options.

Oh yes in the Classic Tractor, have had a few bits from him before. ;) Oh and how do fancy a nice 2F Lemken reversible for Frankie?

Need a few bits for my new DP7, such as points and landslides and more asthetical bits like decals. Anyone know where I could best obtain these from. :)

I should have thought that he was caking himself as to how much work there is left to do. As we have 300 acres left to do, we are are snatching as and when we can- even at 26% yesterday and drying down to 19% in one bout and going through again is still better than abandoning a crop by any means just yet. So if I'm honest I don't blame him.....we're all desperate now.

Thinks that's all of them.

I know, very distant from anything farm model related, but was just interested. The reason I ask is because Pig Keeping has become a new hobby of mine, to run parallel in the long term with my beef and Lamb business, marketed for the freezer. After and before work this summer I (with the help of some mates) have fenced off most of the woodland on the farm, to hold various rare breed sows, piglets and weaners with the intent to fatten, slaughter and market as rare breed and free range pork. I know this sounds all very family to a certain well known television series on here, however by keeping it small with little overheads, I cannot see how it could fail, as my only regular overhead will be to feed the sows and weaners, which is very helpful having a friends family running a farm shop as they can supply me with the correct feeds at a fraction of a cost of anyway else, to include all of their fruit and veg seconds. I have started by purchasing a number of Saddleback guilt's and sows which I aim to put back tomething a little more hefty such as a GOS of a white. Anyway, back on topic and back to my question of whether or not their are any pig farmers on here of whom I could possibly ask for some guidance than that would be superb. I'm also willing to share some of it all so far if anyones interest and I apologise in advance if reading this was of no interest or relevance to you. Thanks, Will ;)

Bought from new with a 4wd equivelent on the same day in 1986 I believe. Has done 6000 hours but is imaculate.

Just try it and it had best not be wone of those silver JD ones. As for bale handlers, the photos were taken on different occasions, however I prefer the elephant trunk in the field as you dont need to stop or slow down so is quicker, but I prefer the ABT in the yard as it allows for bales to be pushed together, making a neather stack. But I don't p!ss about changing them, teand to have the Merlo in the yard and the 885 in the field.

Well that's my photo's now up to date and hope they show why I havn't been on here much lately. If you have any questions I will be more than happy to have a go at answwering for you. ;)

The Wheat campaign this year as for everyone else began with a slow start and is continueing so with the disapointing weather, snatching days as and when we can, however disaster struck on Saturday night with an engine fire on the Lexion, which is proving to be both troublesome and expensive, needing a whole new transmission system. The fire scared the life out of me as I was standing on the top trying to unblock the air filters to hear a whoosh and see flames just under my nose. \ :'( :'( However I shall share with you some photos of when we were going last week..... My outfit- MX150 and AS 12 Tonner..... And then the third runner used ocassionally when getting tight....... And finnally a mid-night shot down the yard whilst on the drier on friday night.......

Next are some of my more recent photos of what I've been up to over the past couple of weeks. Firstly are some snaps of early cultivations on this years OSR stubble, which as a crop this year did remarkably well. Firstly a spot of Mole Draining on the TM 135 and Miles Mole Drainer........ Then I went on to do some ploughing as that's all theat would go in the wet about two weeks ago, with the Valtra T190 and KV 4 Furrow....I know a complete overkill, but the the DP7 was working away on the Magnum........ Finally, are a few I took of discing in front of the plough last week with the MX150 and older Dowdy discs......
