  1. Well after a few attempts to resize , I finally resorted to whitenin the excess images to get the KB down to posting size so..... Will start with the Fendts cos they are handy ! mostly boxed only ones that aren`t are one of the Xylons with loader and no cab 2 other Xylons a Britains on floats and the standard one and the ancient broken light green one .Two limited edition Siku`s the white 716 and the other 716 with loader was bought with the Veenhuis muck spreader Hope you can see them ok, john
  2. Fantastic collection you have . I started collecting In 1978 , I stopped in 1987, before that my corgi`s, early britains etc got played to death ............ well I was young and naive at the time and after all we have to start somewhere...............I think unless you are older when you start collecting ,you have to have really played with these things to appreciate them properly ! John
  3. Come on Steve, are you having questions about what are you doing on the computer? well you must have time then? get building, this time nextyear you could be a millionaire I heard that once on Only Folls and Horses ! It never comes true . all I can add to that is if you dont have dreams, how can they come true? ???..................don`t ask too much about where that came from ..one rather long drunken night ! yes pics would be good thank you, always nice to see other folks wee gems .............will need to get my lot digi cammed , the insurance folks want an inventory John
  4. Most excellent , thank you very much for sharing , it`s a pity you haven`t still got them eh?.....Until a couple of years ago when i discovered Britains on Ebay I thought I was a bit of a nutter to still have my old toy collection , one thing led to another , got to know a few very nice guys and I`m still here .....glad the forum is here too. I guess until we found each other so to speak not many of us knew the real value and interest of our models to other folks. John
  5. Long long story............I have hassles at home , with work and space issues, not to mention the fact my model fund has had to be ... how can I put this.........redirected and re prioritised .....however those folks who I have ordered models with...........I`m still ok for them !!!........thought I`d best add that last part !!! John John
  6. forgot about the cheapy lookin plastic loaders..........the low lift height of the ertl ones and all to do with them ..........there have been a few dodgy models eh BUT look on the bright side who remembers the older Siku models?......................rattly low detail they were no much to stick up bills about either
  7. thats common on real farms too .................we had a lot of 8 foot gates I bet the Irish lads had as well , were not all from the flat lands so perhaps britains is actually moving with the times?...tractors and machinery are getting bigger ! ;D John
  8. I didnt like the budget versions of the MF or Ford either so I never bought them..............when I stopped collecting back in 87 ?or thereabouts ,those bigger ?tractors ,same lambo deutz etc ?were pretty dire to my mind and from what i see they didnt improve much for a while............... ?better now ?thankfully BUT they had to , look what they are up against as we all know........ John
  9. dave that`s fantastic....who said powerfarm was dead ....far before the old britains ones but technology has moved on.............and whats more not a waste splittin up the fendt either !!!!!!!!! excellent ! John
  10. jakescot

    Valtra

well...........if you are meaning the older 1/35 scale ones then ............easily enough IF , IF ,......you watch what you are doing , remember to give them a slight turn around , get them lined up with the exit points and away you go , they`ll come off without any damage , might need to GENTLY prise them to start with .... As I say watch what you are doin , you`ll be fine , hope that helps John
  11. I`m told thats why they have the elevator aye.................valuable feed beet tops !..so I`m told !!!! john
  12. saved me posting pics there , I have both UH versions,? with front weight block and the one with the A frame, the ordinary Siku one, the non farmer plus, only farmer plus I have is the big? Fendt got it for a ? 6.95 steal? a while back . I agree with the sentiments,it`s not my fave tractor but for model set ups with implements?..... Siku? for display and play ..... detail only, you can`t beat the UH ones..................here`s an idea, it`s not mine tho it`s Michael Fingletons? really...use the Grey wheels and chassis? to make the skid unit for a MF conversion , you`d need a siku linkage tho? and someone to make you a decent bonnet of the MF you chose ....plenty of fine convertors around here, take your pick if? like me you can`t do it yourself . John
  13. I`ll have approx 800 models, my guess is around 300 of them are tractors , a handful of 1/35 joal Valtra and Valmets but mostly 1/32 , other vehicles... 100 or so , remainder implements ................at a rough guess !! 2/3rds of them boxed is a fair guess I fear my collection is gonna have to be greatly reduced .I`ve staved off the evil day for a while now, I can`t see that lasting John
  14. Ah thanks Paul, I`d forgotten you bought out of germany............. I saw this one too , I have one of these conversions this is originally an Ertl 1/64 folding cultivator but looks very effective on the 1/32 models.................Frank adds a britains linkage to the front ......he always gets a lot of money for them but this is one of the more expensive I`ve seen http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=87318&item=6961894690 mine was ?33 quid tho ha ha! FP conversion , I should have put paint job !!!!! on the front mower link too it seems to be a Kuhn, ................... John
  15. and another? .............http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=87318&item=6962414398&rd=1 I have a few versions of this mower but not this one might it be a conversion my german is almost nil................geoff ??? help ;D xheck out some of the sellers other items too conversion or limited edition? John
  16. http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=87318&item=6962414398&rd=1 anyone ever seen this version in the UK?........would you know if it was another limited edition and if so is it a new one , in which case we can look forward to seeing it here perhaps in small numbers ??? or some old rarity currently goin for an old song John
  17. Nice model, I did one too.norscot claas bought cheaper with no grass header put the same siku claas gang onto it. A contractor round here uses his old claas SPFH with the claas 3 mower set up, apparently the chopper needed a lot of cash spendin on it, was getting old , but they said the engine was ok...........it isnt one of the giants and he says the work rates achieved prove more cost effective with that machine than his 150 hp Ford and trailed mower.......?? they replaced the chopper with a new Claas for 04 season....... On a similar note there is a guy who works in the stranraer and south ayrshire area uses a Krone Big M and again he says the work rates achieved easily justify the expense and he has no problems using it rather than a trailed mower. I have only seen two guys running a front mower along with the trad rear trailed mower one uses a JD 6810 .....claas mounted mowers front and rear and cut 90 acres in 10 hours .I`d say that was pretty good going given the fields we have here. The other guy runs a big Ford dont ask me the number its an 83 something but its massive looking, he has a claas on the front and a big trailed Claas on the back John
  18. yes 1/32 scale. I am happy with mine , its dusty and was bought with no box but what do you expect for 13 quid considering it was sold with a siku becker drill and a siku reel irrigator no boxes with them either.
  19. Well excuse my ignorance just in case I`ve forgotten , but I`m pretty sure the one I saw was like a 399 probably a very early version then????.............as I say I could be wrong John
  20. accept the praise Paul , we are all entitled to our 15 mins of fame arent we he he he I`m just adding my opinion too from what I`ve seen of your models its very justified ! I`m very happy with all of mine ! Keep up the good work John
  21. When the first one appeared around here the story was that he needed the power of a telehandler , couldn`t afford one and this was a suitable alternative because as has been said, the loader could be dropped off in afew mins ...The loader part was supposed to be a very powerful version and on par with the telehandlers at the time hence giving the lifting power of a telehandler with the versatility of a tractor that could be fully used as a tractor when required . that`s what they said at least....... john
  22. Garret hi , u know the moffetts? dont suppose you have access to pics of the MF version of the MFT do you?...... thanks John
  23. perhaps the V stands for vineyard ? as in a vineyard model? ??? ??? John
  24. I think I posted about this before somewhere but yes it is small....SMALLER THAN THE 362 OR 70 14 OR 2120 but not by much ..oh and yes it has a rear linkage that looks compatible with britains sadly its too narrow .not by much however!! John
  25. i know there is not as much fine detail on the models i make and the? parts need to be cast in resin so i can make more , but i make to sell , and if i put the fine detail on the items would not get to the customers complete as 95% of my items go in the post? and the one on farm models is not for sale mine is @ ?45 + p&p , dave Well put !!!!! ...................... I`ve had many models from Dave since I first got to know him ,both new boxed and his conversions , all have been posted to me , have arrived safely, been well packed , as described and have arrived quickly . I`ve been very happy and not felt the need to add further detailing to any models ....that option is always there for anyone who wishes to do so . just my humble opinion John
