  1. I have an older type Siku Claas FB and I`m not that impressed with it.its the version where the header is boxed sideways off the combine sorry no digicam or I`d post pics If you want a good Claas combine , in my humble opinion look no further than the Norscot Lexion 580 ! you`ll have to pay for it but for me it`s worth it !!!! John
  2. the plastic tubes are 92mm in diameter
  3. Hi Guys , the plastic rolls of silage wrapping centre tubes might be ok for this job , I had looked but thought they were a bit small , on seeing yours here Sean perhaps they aren`t ............. what were the full scale sizes you used? These inner tubes thingys I have were for the 750mm rolls so slightly longer than that and they`ll be 3 or 4 inches across at a guess without looking properly.I`ll go check and post ! John
  4. OUCH nae luck TOG hope its no too difficult or expensive for you to repair.........Funky looking kit you have there too........... thanks for the pics again sorry about their subject John
  5. i wish I could post pics full stop but til I get a digicam sorted out them thats a no no. i think mines the rounded version..........cant remember and its stacked away at the moment hope things are good with you in Ca john
  6. mine has the weight block not the front linkage ..............I bought one as soon as I saw them and the front links version wasnt on the list then.......... John
  7. Yes I have both verisons A frame on the front and the other with the weight block...............very nice indeed , The Mc cormicks are very good too even texture on the clutch and brake pedals inside the cab . Agreed on the Claas steering ..................pretty crap lock ! Compatibility for implements I can only tell you about mine.............renault ergos no, celtis no , atles no ,atles 8 wheeled version no , Claas atles no, Claas Ares yes , celtis no ( older versions with no front fenders ) Mc cormick v80, it looks like it should , but it doesnt cos the fixings are too narrow John
  8. I think I mentioned before about dropping my Ros 1/32 Landini and it smashing to bits inside the box whilst the box was merely dented . This didnt deter me from buying the Hesston big square baler and I have to agree with others the scale is more akin to a 1/32 model that the 1/25 it calls it. Sorry I have no digicam to take pics of it But rest assured its of similar quality to the tractors and for ?8.50 I think its an ok model.not the best but different ......I will add tho I would NOT recommend anyone play with the damned thing ,display sure , play NO. I have a merlo handler........don`t see it that often in it`s box , I`d forgotten it was Ros,anyway for me it`s a nice model, delicate again and on mine the build quality isnt great but I`d say passable , again display not play and if I remember rightly I wasnt too impressed with the way the buckets etc fitted to the boom John
  9. i started saving the models in 1978 after I`d wrecked numerous MF 135`s both red and yellow , dinky and corgi too.....I even broke my tonka toys ! some of the guys used to call me tonka because of that I still have a 1978 Deutz dx110, bale sledge 8 wheel trailer and the first Nh baler I bought or was given back then not forgetting the MF 760 NH baler has the tow hook broken, sledge perfect , deutz one broken rear arm and MF combine perfect if dusty. Sadly none have boxes but I do have about 4 years worth of boxes from 1983 ish until I stopped collecting in 1987..oh boy am i kicking myself when I see the price difference as I`m hoping my collection will be my pension policy one day. In the rush to see the models often the boxes got ripped anyway am i alone on that one ? John
  10. I also had a delivery today.......my 4 siku grape harvesters arrived today.no damage to boxes ha ha! farmer palmer , no damage to items in fact none had ever been removed from the boxes. one happy bunny here a good deal done. ?2 .58 each was a truly crazy ebay price !, I have another old saying bit in the same vein as the other one when this subject was mentioned .............the bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten .....in my experience, it`s VERY true John
  11. time will tell.............were they siku bale wrappers you won also ?
  12. I`ll let u know if the boxes are dented when they arrive. I was sceptical about the low price .............still unsure ! I have an old friend who cynically says if a thing seems to good to be true it usually is !
  13. keep yer eyes peeled and let me know if u see anymore then. trying to send cattle pics britfarmer askend me for ages ago but yahoo is very slow!!! john
  14. I thought so too so bid for and won 4 !!!!!!! Finally I`m back online complete with a new puter box and printer scanner I have scanned some of my old collection before I restarted again ......no quite sure how to get them posted anywhere but anyway ......... here`s another thought about cheap Siku stuff on ebay.I have been thinking about an Ag Bag machine and am certain one could be made out of a Siku tarmac laying machine ....I have seen some in the past go unsold on ebay one listed at the moment I`m planning to have a crack at but the conversion end might be beyond me!
