Whats on your workbench???
Dusty Dan replied to MODELFARMER's topic in Other Conversions & Scratch Builds
That is really an awesome model. A lot of detail. Once again, I must say I have never seen many of the kits you show there, here in a hobby shop. I suppose I could order one from the internet but to tell you the truth, I have built more than I can rememberer, ships and planes, but never a truck or a tractor. When I spray the hull of a ship I use those small spray cans of modeling paint. Now I mostly just buy a diecast model. Not too interested in the glue and the paint anymore after building them for about 64 years. But I surely enjoy looking at your tractor and truck models here. I have about three ships still around the house collecting dust that I have built. I have either thrown out or given away countless ones. -

Very pretty -
I bought it in 1998 and have used it hard, especially where I lived in northern Pennsylvania. Not as much in the last six years here. Those Toro snowblowers are know to be one of the best, at least they used to be. So far it is still running good and if it dies I may buy another. It throws a lot of snow but sometimes the wet snow blocks up the chute. I have sprayed Pam cooking spray down the chute to try to prevent that. Thanks

Since I have fertilized the lawn it is growing quite fast now. So, today will be the second cutting and I plan to use the string trimmer to trim up the edges. Since I moved in 2012 and downsized, from the small village of Neffs, Pa., I have a small lawn that can be cut in about a half hour. Previously I had about 3/4 acre and there I had a Honda and a Simplicity riding mower. The Honda lasted for 20 years before it died and then I purchased the Simplicity with a Kohler engine.

Yes, and never seen by me anyway, as is the case with most that I have seen here and evidently in Europe in general. But I really enjoy looking at them. What I see and have seen on the farms and tractor shows and county fairs in Pennsylvania are; John Deere, McCormick/Farmall , Ford, Oliver, Allis Chalmers, New Holland, Kubota, Case/International Harvester and Massey Ferguson. I could have missed some. I have worked on the farm in my early teen years, was raised in the farm country of south eastern Pennsylvania and still live in farm country. I shall try, in the near future and now that the weather is nicer, to get out and about the countryside and take a few more photos to send over. Probably by early May. We have many Amish farms here and in adjoining countys and of course they only use work horses and mules to pull equipment.

An awesome display of tractors and machinery. Attachments are terrific also. I enjoyed them very much and you have a great collection there!

Thank you. The B is actually considered a toy as the ones for collectors say for ages 14 and up, like the prestige and precision models, and is one of the later model B tractors as the earlier one had the spoked wheels. The M stands for “modernized.” https://www.yesterdaystractors.com/cgi-bin/viewit.cgi?bd=jd&th=487177

Today was the warmest Spring day we have had, about 77°. I cut down a small evergreen that was blocking the sun and stunting the growth of another pretty flowering tree in the backyard. So, the RAV4 and I made a trip down into the woods to distribute the cuttings. The birds will also use them for shelter. The lovely flowers seeded themselves in the woods from seeds either wind blown or carried from a home nearby with a squirrel or two. The woods are full with squirrels. Things are just starting to turn green here.
