  1. As it was mild here, I got some primer on the roller, only to find the end had lost a chunk of resin. Here it is, some filling and filing later: I'm home alone this weekend (LadyTainly is working) so I should be able to get some paint on this, then to just work out how to get a 674.
  2. Good work on the Landie, reminds me of my old 88".
  3. 885 would be nice too. I was speaking to my father over the break, and despite his memory not being as good as it once was, he was reminding me that he did design work (modifications for cost reduction) on the 885 and XL cab when he was at Harvester. Tbf what I'd really like is a real 885 with a loader, but that's not in the budget for this year! 😁
  4. File has been messed with somehow - intentionally or not, you can see all the yellow parts here are just a shade of blue in the other. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/175365877901?_trkparms=amclksrc%3DITM%26aid%3D1110006%26algo%3DHOMESPLICE.SIM%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D244525%26meid%3D06d6b0fa688542f190beaba09f4ee88f%26pid%3D101195%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D195523737732%26itm%3D175365877901%26pmt%3D1%26noa%3D0%26pg%3D2047675%26algv%3DSimplAMLv11WebTrimmedV3MskuAspectsV202110NoVariantSeedKnnRecallV1%26brand%3DBritains+Deetail&_trksid=p2047675.c101195.m1851&amdata=cksum%3A17536587790106d6b0fa688542f190beaba09f4ee88f|enc%3AAQAHAAABMMFr2e4EmAnM%2ByHZkULYKDIJ4L66fOjNL0iupgt%2BzO1%2F3AE1t3mNirUYB96NktMCicMagiS6mbeTl0xquGODv9k%2BWjhngiU6TzGXpEY8gtXq6qhPBZbjxZNisRbEjz0eYf3YCaSAHKzqJ7pqChtcxEbR1tUhMCxyz1B2jOhybXscDP131w02SPQ7J%2BZgmdDrmiahby5%2FfkxQx8iwyZbyfyJlaxmxX3EPhfLBEFt6CRrP46RakbxEscOSGAHFV9g7Ntzg2mmQY9nEVd7JXF9Z%2F9Z7FlxFbMeEKoiI0PbBtsoUOVIOf9PXuNC7jOj9wx8eDt7t%2FDhYA1EspgEc5FBAL2lF7Naz0o3KWHjM6H16Om2R0NYXCUX6sMuIaOn1BRHsZJZjgzMShXRdJq%2B29xiamO0%3D|ampid%3APL_CLK|clp%3A2047675&epid=2307050234 It looks like someone has messed with the RGB of the photo and messed the colours
  5. Really nice work! On a related note, where's everyone finding farm model files to print or are you all ace CAD modellers? My search on Cults didn't yield that much stuff.
  6. thanks folks - spent abit more time today on this (took photos and then saw I'd forgotten the fillers on the ends of the rollers) I've added them now, but no more pics. I would have liked to do a bit of priming, but it's too cold, so I cracked on with this. I've bought my wife, a keen equestrian, a heavy horse day for xmas. Since it doesn't give her something to unwrap on the day, I've been working on a little diorama which has a scale version of her on it - as close as I can get with the tools available anyway. Still needs a bit of paint tidy up on her, I'll just hit the toy horse with a bit of a matt varnish when it's warmer this week. In the box with it will be the detail of the experience. I've done stuff like this before for other relatives for Caterham 7 driving, tank driving, trip to see Swan lake on ice and a JCB experience.
  7. Thanks again - and yes that's the one, so it's a Twose, cool to know, cheers!
  8. Thanks folks. Wonder if it was a Kidd roller that got repaired/rebuilt as it is now? iirc it was bought from a farm sale to replace an even older roller which is still in the field. I wanted to use that one tbh as it's a little smaller and this blue one only just fits through the gate, but I think someone has had the end of the drawbar from it for something else.
  9. As promised in my intro post, here's my roller. It's still pretty early days. I'm not sure, but I suspect the prototype might be home made, but I could be wrong. Here's my reference photos: And the obligatory, thing in motion photo:
  10. Hi everyone! thanks for letting me in, I did close the gate after me, we don't want the livestock escaping! I used to collect Britains farm toys as a child, but sadly sold all of these years ago, along with the great fold up farm model my grandfather made for me to use them on. However now in my 40s, I have bought my first real tractor (IH674), and I'm currently trying to buy a smallholding, I've started to get interested in farm models too again. I'm currently trying to scratchbuild a model of my wife's uncle's (uncle-in-law?) roller which he let me use to prepare the field for our wedding reception back in the summer. I'd like to build an approximate diorama of me doing that. I'll post pictures as soon as I can. Simon
