Today i went on the bikes with olliethefarmer on here to go on a bike ride, which regularly turns into a tractor spotting event for me Saw 4 drivers i knew and he waved to them all, so i now have 0% respect anymore :D Then got some chips found a dumped JD by the looks of things and challenged a few chavs to duals ... god i hate them! Should all be burnt

Interesting 4th choice in the poll :D
Gav!!!
Or .. Ben!!! :D
I'll get you one day.
As for Scleich pigs they are big but hay i like them and at the end of the day Sean it's really up to you. I just found them most reliastic and found the Britains pigs tiny

Never driven but been in it would have to be a John Deere 6900 for me

My sow had been someone's pet pig - it hadn't been treated like a pig... more like a dog really. They used to let in the house, feed it sweets etc... until it got big and started trashing everything So we bought her when she got too much for them, but she never really took to living like a farm animal :'(
Thats a shame Mandy, think it was the victorian ages maybe a bit later when they used to have pigs as pets and had real trouble because there so loveable as piglets but then grow into these monsters.... and as you said just trash anything in site, a clumsy animal the pig yet extremely intelligent. Bet she was hard to let go? I could never be on the farm the day they were taken away for slaughter :(
-
You would think so - but the sow I had used to push right through - it never occurred to her to run backwards when she touched it - she would just panic and plough on, taking the whole lot with her... she became bacon soon after, though
There alot more powerful than they make out to be, at Jimmys farm if you ever watched that they had the same problem the pigs just run straight through and everything was crazy.
On the farm she doesn't have alot of trouble for some reason, just normal. She does treat the pigs well though and they just stay in the area, they always are being moved though because they plough the fields to pieces

No worries mate, easy mistake to make.
Just seen all of the pictures and Blake it is now definetly up there as one of the best, really really like it major respect for you it's awesome. I like the way you haven't over crowded the yard and have implements scattered in places. And those new sheds.... i take my hat off to you Nice one more pics regularly please :)

Right What did I do wrong >
Have you pasted the wrong code? We can still see the pictures Blake so it's not life and death just a bit of a pain Did you do IMG code?

yeah they can, well this guy does anyway, all 7 strands are live , sure i heard it mentioned one time that he had some stupid amount of volateg going round them, hes been warned loads of times about it, but we cant stop him by law so its an easy visit/day when we do get called about it
Sounds pretty dodgy, pretty powerful. The porkers must get a pretty good shock if they brush against that :o
Was going to ask also Sean you see the Schleich pigs now, with your pig unit did you get Schleich? I know you were thinking about it?
-
next time i am out that way i will get some pics for ya mate, we have one thats always causing probs with the phone lines ,as he has arround 20 km of fences, about 7 strands high, all running, keeps the foxes out and porkers in, but never keeps it clear .so it earths out and makes a mess of this posh blokes broadband every now and then
Cheers Sean, that would be a great help mate. And wow i didn't know they could do that? Hmm .. i know that where i based this on that she has had to have an operation on her knee because of years of touching the electric fence and stamping her foot after the shock Well.. not the main reason for the op but certainly damaged it alot \

one blooke down in my road in bexhill is a miserable git doesnt like anyone on his land even if you stay on the foootpaths, threatented to shoot a womens dog. anyway not sure what there doing, keep going with the good pics mate
I don't like people like that, deliberatly miserable. I steer clear of people like that but fortunately most of the drivers are around my Dads age so it's quite easy i find to interact with them if you get what i mean.
Thanks for the kind encouragement, really appreciate it :)
-
sounds good mate, lots of those arround down this way now, all kept in with leccy fences
Well it's your area Sean that i got the idea from :D But basically it's quite convenient because if there was an old farm where the new farm stands it is really convenient and isn't a huge setup so alright for a farmer on not that a high budget :) Like my diorama
-
doesnt look to bad mate, might need a bigger pen aprt at the front unless your going free range porkers that is
Yeah these will be free range Sean, the idea being that i have fencing leading from the back door to a fenced in enclosure. Where i used to work she had a similiar set up. Fenced off outdoor pens with an old building to give the pigs shelter at night :)

Thanks Belarusfan, thats my method so far. All on footpaths but lately the irrigation guys have been giving me dirty looks so i just give them a cheesy grin. I've not been told to stop or to go away ever and if i do i will.
And thanks for being so optimistic about my future Will :D Don't think there that extreme :)

Front row seat to the tour de France today which was excellent, then fiddled around with the pictures and then been taking some more pictures looking for a suitable entry into the photo competition.

Out on the bikes this evening and came across this in a field. I naturally presumed it was a 2650 at first then reliased it was tiny ... never seen anything like this .. is it common?
Don't know what it was doing there couldn't see a driver unless they left it in the field for the night
I really like it, think she looks a cracker
