  1. Heres the progress so far, it's a bit wonky but i'll sort that when im finished. Im hoping that the brown paint will make it look OKish and then i can fill the beds up and it will look hopefully quite realistic \
  2. Thanks Scott, it would indeed of been easier but i wanted the beds to be quite larger and i haven't really got anything capable of doing that. Will definetly be my second option if this looks rubbish, got 2 beds done so far sealed the ends and only 8 to go zzzzzzzzzzz
  3. Started making a field tonight, based it on really thick card and then started to make some beds.. the idea is that i have marked out beds according to the width of the basic McCormick CX105 ( my irrigation tractor) and then im going to put card for the sides of the bed and then paint the whole thing brown, then after that feel the beds up with dirt Any opinions on that? Will it work?
  4. Exellent snaps 1HP, really like the Claas tractors especially with that combination on :o
  5. Just the wrapped bales to go in, then the driver took it back to the other yard where everything was being stored and then arriving a bit later with another load.
  6. Finally did something productive today, whilst the building was being refitted and repaired inside the bales had to be moved, so today they were moved back in for easy feeding. The shed was just being filled up with essential stuff really. Barkers sent down one of their biggest beasts, the ZTX with a vanto bale trailer. Being unloaded by our trusty eddie stobart forklift, hopefully being replaced however
  7. And last one doesn't really fit into the topic but another yard, loading up the curtain side trailer. Also in the distance a service van there to service the New Holland combine in the corner, so wish i was allowed closer :(
  8. A closer picture through the bushes of the machinery in the yard \ Then down the road the salad big boys Barkers, basically this is the entrance as close as i could get to the packhouses \
  9. Some machinery in the yard And another shot of the loading bays
  10. Somethings that interested me for a while now, hoping to incorporate some ideas onto my layout. Just been out on my bike and a look around a few local farms as near as i could possibly get. The first is like a distribution depot kind of thing M&S lorry had just pulled in, the trailer is underneath this machine that i dumping all the wasted materials from the packhouses
  11. Looking very smart to me, another great conversion
  12. Or his brother storming up to the attic and find his brand new shoes stuck to the floor :D Bad luck Matty, i can imagine that happening to me, i seriously could
  13. Im not sure if it's even that Nick, i don't take pictures of the irrigator guys they just .. dislike me Anway i am drifting off topic a bit, anyone know what the correct job is for it? Or is it just flattening the beds? And can i ask why powerstar \ \
  14. It's on the doorstep but most probably not this year, unless quite a few FTF members are going? In my opinion it's not worth it .. but only my opinion \
  15. Hi guys thanks for all the kind comments, just working on getting some crops in Nick at the moment im trying to get another board to slot in behind my shed to be the first field of the new regime really. Thanks Matty, it's really early stages and i've got all things like tracks to do and attention to detail is my main aim in this really want to get it life like but a huge mountain to climb, the place is such a mess at the moment. Thanks also Tim :)
  16. Thanks Barry, it certainly does what a great day that was :D Part from uncle Kelv and his buses :D But amazing work by Graham i really do take my hate off to him Thanks Old ford ( forgot your name [ :D ) yeah hoping to plan a few more really if Graham can put up with my faffinf again and then build the yard around it really Thanks for the kind words guys i look forward to start building it up
  17. Im really not sure, theres like a kind of pecking order over there: The english drivers with the 7920s, 7430s, 6920S, 6820s, etc etc, The irrigation guys, Germans. John Deere 5720s or McCormick CX105, Spare drivers with odd jobs like mowing same as above Pickers Eastern european or Asian And then one day the irrigation guys especially this fat german guy decided to hate me and everytime i walk past they give me really dirty looks and start talking in German when i walk by and laughing > Then lower than them just hate me anyway because .. well i don't know and then the English guys are alright but some get annoyed at me taking pictures \ Im not too popular :D
  18. Spraying onions if you were unsure Last two, any questions feel free to ask anything
  19. Got some more pictures the other day and reliased it was one of my favourite drivers so was pleased about that, really is a beautiful machine i really like it.
  20. Saw this over the fields again tonight, seemed a bit unusual and a bit different wondering what it was? Obviously a roller but not sure about the back? Was preparing ground for more herbs to be planted Will have a look for more herb equipment ( Sorry for the quality of the first two pictures, i thought it was a German driver as he gave me a really evil look and the germans hate me with a vengeance over there ) :( It turned out it wasn't actually
  21. What the farm really revolves around was refitted this evening, a bit of a clean up really. The old bosses of waycroft left it in a bit of a state and it got a bit out of hand so today it was refitted really. The farm is being re-thought and new plans are being drawn up for it
  22. Interesting model, is that weight block on the front a standard Siku weight block? Looks alot different \ \ Whats this for then Bas? Is it specially for tractorconnection? Looks great but not for me
  23. The sheets i used were two i found in the garage that are MDF 4x3 6mm thick, just two of them raised on tressels used on things like market stalls, as mentioned grass comes in rolls and then you can buy foliage and other scenery. Not sure but here we have a place called games workshop, they basically do mini hills with rolled grass on top. Although quite small and extremely pricey they may do the trick? When i first started just try and base it on a real farm or your idealfarm and then build up ideas really. I used model railway diorama videos to really help me understand, my cousin is a rail nut and has millions about how to make layouts quite good stuff really \
  24. Excellent pictures Tim, an awesome storyline you've got going with some very beautiful tractors :)
