  2. Erik, im in love with your region, can i come live there, you see so much beuatful gear, i love this topic rember a small camrea is better than no camrea and it does pretty good pics thanks for taking the time to snap and post erik
  3. Boys that sounds like our season, yields well down and to dry, funny how your busy starting silage as im cleaning down all our gear for the winter, 4 days on 2 choppers, cant wait till im done
  4. nope, 2wd 4440 jd with allied loader and prongs will lift 3 bb960 straw bales or 2 heston/case/fergy bales no probs if your useing a tractor loader, you will lose smoe lifting cap with the weight of the grab, i myself prefer triple prong bale forks with bullhorns simlar to these forks http://www.google.co.nz/imgres?imgurl=http://northsideweldinginc.com/images/thumbnails/bale_fork_1.jpg&imgrefurl=http://northsideweldinginc.com/bale_forks.php&usg=__BJ7uFu8ERdyGg7kOgzvvKHM6Hhc=&h=274&w=242&sz=38&hl=en&start=29&itbs=1&tbnid=1ki1mcqe829bIM:&tbnh=113&tbnw=100&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dbale%2Bforks%26start%3D21%26hl%3Den%26safe%3Doff%26sa%3DN%26gbv%3D2%26ndsp%3D21%26tbs%3Disch:1
  5. small update, had a couple of issues like mandy had with the water stuff but all sorted now, well i hope Im fairly happy with it at the moment, this has inspired me to get as much detal in as i can so its going to be a while before i have machines working the paddocks..... not like me at all
  6. Nice pics snake boy, any more?
  7. No i just layerd wet paper towls to make the shallow banks, with luck i can paint it deep... have to get more plaster cloth from the model shop as well as the 2 waters, i can see they wont be enough and i have used the plater colth and havent done 1/3 of the water way ..
  8. Yeah she has been split before, it has a brand new pto clutch in it, she came from a back country farm where they dont respect gear at all, it has 4300 on the clock , she will be a good tractor when its done, she seams to be able to pull so it will be good for tractor pulling comps that i plan on going to i see the leaky front oil seals are commen problem on these, looks like your front pully seal and right hand front wheel seals leaked a bit erik
  9. Im very proud to say we dont have this problem over here, when you say pick up hitch people look at you and say ohh you mean quick hitch on the 3ptl, we still use the yank way, double clevis fixed drawbar and a big old trys drawbar pin, means we have to get out and check its hooked up properly coz we have to wind the stand up in my eyes you can beat a drawbar for saftey, if you towing alot of rad work here you genraly have a truck type trailer so you use a ring feeder, only about 500kg down force can be on a ring feeder so not many people use them, the most commen is a Pintle hitch, that can take about 6 ton on a tractor mate uses it for his tanker and spreader, recons it plulls alot better than a drawbar Why is a PUH such a thing that you folks cant live with out them? you still have to get out to plug in the hydro lines and lights and the pto shaft if there is one? please do enlighten me in this dark part of the world i call home
  10. yeah mate, dont like things sitting in bits to long, cant rember how they go back together then : Im only fixing/replacing what needs to be done, not that much realy but it still takes time and money
  11. looks simpe, takes around 3-4days to make tho... the kit only has enough water to make a river 2 1/2 in wide 9in long and 1/8in deep and the waterfall can only be 1 1/4 in wide by 5in high buy 3/32 thick, i need more of both types of water they include, should have a plastred pic up 2morrow with luck marked out my 2 paddocks up the top now trying to figure how many sheds or paddocks for the bottom or if its all yard/shed space or all paddocks and no sheds, whats your opion folks? farm paddocks or sheds and yard?
  12. well had a major change today, went to take pictures and decided nah down it comes and change sides of the garage, was sick of hitting my car door on it the before pictures and now, its about the same length but 500mm wide on the upper level im trying this railway powder for the grass and a cultivated paddock might be the more expensive way, im not sure yet And the most intersting pice to be on my lay out, just need to get polystyrine block to make the river for it to flow off, should look good i hope thats around about where i plan on having it come downthen go under the ramp/ cutting up to the top
  13. Update time, the pics kinda tell the story Why have to clutch shafts in to seprate chasis parts??? makes it alot harder than needed to split cab is now ready for the sandblasters should get the rear main oil seal, front main oil seal and clucth back on today and get here back as one chassis, the front pully nut had spun itself off for some reason, the bonnet and side panels will also go to the sandblasters this week
