  1. Nice one Paul. Very difficult to obtain over here as virtually no dealerships .
  2. I've got a Case IH 2294 extra as well. New in box, if anyone is interested.
  3. From what I can see on the photo only opened? We need those on the normal Lexion! Bought myself a UH MF 1080 4WD and Britains Ford TW 10 today. Sadly the 2WD cabbed 1080 and the other Ford's weren't in yet (.
  4. It is indeed an incredible collection yes. I should take some photographs for the forum. He also collects a lot of 1/64th scale models (especially articulated tractors) plus 1/32nd and some 1/16th. Collection is spread over 3 custom build cabinets which measure 4m wide, 1m deep and 2m tall. Then there's various smaller cabinets, all made to measure. 1cm thick reinforced glass. I agree with you on the Fiat and IH models from Replicagri. They are one of the best newcomers on the block with some desirable classics.
  5. I certainly do not judge your decision David. it's up to everyone what he or she wants to do with the collection. A dear friend of mine (and a massive collector with about 15.000? pieces) likes to 'trade in' his models after a few years. Like you he likes to stick with his modified and hand build models and sells the general models. Buys them new, have them on the shelf for 10-15 years and passes them on. However, he does have a rule he never sells for less than he bought one. So he doesn't loose any money on them. Another problem he has is his older scratch build models which were bought for large sums of money and are now not detailed enough to face the current competition. He'll have to stick with those. Nice new additions to the collection. I'm just missing out on the 845xl and the three Ford's. It seems they are not available in Holland yet (.
  6. Thanks Tim. Well, unless someone on here has bought a farm or some fields? Mind you I didn't really 'buy' it as such of course. We just took on the mortgage and admit to have a debt of 150k.
  7. Thanks for your reply David! If Martyn has a 1474 with him at Zwolle i'll probably have to buy one off him! I have the 9700 and that was a fantastic model also. The best scratch build i've ever bought. I had forgotten you sold a lot of your models as well. I've given this a lot of thought to do so myself. However, I feel it would be a waste for the long term. Most of my older Britains and Siku models won't make more than € 5,- or won't sell at all. Then again, new models you buy today might be classic in 20 years time? I remember buying Siku's Ford 8830, Deutz DX, Britains MF 3690 and Renault 155.54 when they were new and classics now! Of course the detail and realism is a far cry from today's models. I still have a bunch of 1/64 scaled stuff as well that i'd like to sell. But then again, these were dear to buy and there is nearly no market for the stuff today in Europe. Think i'm better off boxing them and maybe display in the future when I have the space for it.
  8. Got myself a house the other day. Well, together with the missus . Afraid there will be spend a little less money on models now considering we have to buy all the decorating and furniture as well!
  9. If you compare the DBP and Reeve 1474 which one do you prefer? Is there much of a price difference between the two? You really have a fantastic collection David. Making me very jealous! If you ever come to sell a branch of your money tree let me know
  10. Latest additions: Norscot Challenger MT765 (from fellow forum member brianih634). Ertl/Britains JD 8630 (Plow City 2007 model) Ros Horsch Sprinter 18 ST drill Britains Case IH Magnum 340 Britains JD 8345RT Waiting for some PMA 32 bits to arrive as well. NH and Claas grain tanks and a Matrot side knife for my Dominator 96. Just some bits and pieces that were missing in the collection! Sadly my regular model supplier doesn't always seem to have all the latest items in stock, which means I miss out on quite a few items. Seems I will need to make another visit soon for the JD 4955 and Versatile 550!
  11. A massive box from Claas arrived yesterday with the new Norev Dominator 96 model in it. I've done a rate & review on it as well.
  12. Thanks Mike and Sean! I saw those dear Johnnies at Zwolle yes. Did not see the €120 one sadly. Also saw them for 200-250... I picked up the 9400T new, boxed, from fellow forum member Bas (Texas) for €125 iirc and hope I get get the 8400 for no less but do want to offer a fair price. We'll see what he comes up with!
  13. This might not be the appropriate topic for this question but I didn't think it was worth opening a new topic for: Can anyone help me value an Ertl John Deere 8400 Precision series model and Cat Challenger 85E from Norscot. Both models are boxed and have only been displayed on a shelf. What do you guys reckon is a fair price for the pair? I have been offered both but don't know what they are worth. I don't want to pay top money for them. I was thinking £80/85 for the John Deere and £50 for the Challenger. I am also still looking for the Claas Challenger and Challenger MT765 from Norscot. Don't know if anyone has one he wants to sell?
  14. Latest visit to the model shop: Weise-Toys Fendt Favorit 926 Vario (Gen I) Weise-Toys Fendt Favorit 822 on all round dual wheels Schuco Fendt 313 Vario Wiking John Deere 6125R Wiking Amazone maize drill
  15. I really wish I could come over and have a look Martin Sadly won't be doing so.

    The Snow Topic

Not wanting to annoy you but here's a photo from yesterday. Ploughing and drilling beet. I feel sorry for you chaps with all that bloody white stuff!
  17. Sorry Sean I will go shame myself . Your a 100 percent correct, it is a Vicon: http://www.midsuffolkagriphotos.co.uk/gallery/gp2060.htm Here's one in Vicon-Greenland livery. Vicon/MF 510 here: http://www.agriaffaires.co.uk/used/conventional-till-seed-drill/2429760/vicon-lz-510.html with Vicon clearly displayed on the 'computer'. It does look very similar to Roger though: http://www.agriaffaires.co.uk/used/conventional-till-seed-drill/3276544/roger-r608.html
  18. I think these were build by French firm Roger not Vicon?
  19. For the digital brochure collectors: http://sima.newholland.com/tractors/products_en_59.aspx New brochures from New Holland from tractors launched at Sima.
  20. Luckily the dog is taking the punishment . She's looking very sad. Was it a wet patch or did it have something to do with a drain?
  21. Give them some time. Last time I requested brochures from Fendt it took them 4 months to get them across. When they eventually arrived they had send everything I'd asked for plus more so can't blame them! I tried to order some US MF brochures but they weren't having it. Said I should contact my local dealer.
  22. There's a new New Holland TD5 brochure (large one 20ish pages) out as well Paul. You might want to scoop it up.
  23. Did PMC ever sell a Ploeger harvester in PMC livery or is it just a Photoshop?
  24. Bill, I came across a large quantity of agricultural related bags when I was clearing out and kept them seperate for you. Have you got any interest in them? (Or anyone else for that matter).
