  1. Well that is still quite a good depth. The disc harrow in that video doesn't run silly fast. Be curious to see how you get on. The 600 hp probably hardly notices.
  2. Another very fine piece Sean! Real work of art. I think a lot of the oldest topics have since been removed?
  3. Looking lovely as usual Alex. However, some moaning from me; With discing speed is the key. Doesn't the tramline subsoiler slow you down or cause excessive wear running at a VERY high speed? How deep are you pulling the tramlines up?
  4. No i don't think I have ever seen it before! That is a thing of beauty. Fantastic! Never seen a model Lely combine. Rare as hens teeth in real life, let alone in 1/32. You did an absolutely fantastic job building that.
  5. Yes your right Mike. Patience is my problem, not small fingers luckily.
  6. That should help indeed Pat, for as long as it will be legal to do so! I don't doubt that the barley straw has a good value but in a year like this do the cattle farmers have money to afford buying straw? I hear more and more stories they don't.
  7. Don't think I've ever seen photo's of the Lely. I assume you mean the Lely FH combine? Any archive pictures or is there still a topic floating about on here.
  8. It must have been ten years since I attempt to build a model myself. Recently started again hoping wisdom has come with the age. It's a Rumptstad cultivator kit from Farmmodels. A bread and butter machine on many Dutch farms of the past. Similar to the Superflow in the UK (in terms of success). So far so good(ish)! Done four brackets and two tines. Only another 11 tines and 22 brackets to go. Must say the kit is very well made by Farmmodels and their support is excellent. Does any one know if there is an online shop offering the 'steel' depth wheels on the UH Bomford Superflow for sale as separate pieces?
  9. Will never get tired of looking at this! Fantastic models, scenery and lay out Sean.
  10. I see where you are coming from. Thanks Julian. Know of a farmer here that thought like that and baled lots of wet straw prior to a big storm. Afterwards he quickly had to untie a few thousand bales in his sheds as the straw was heating up so quickly he was afraid of a fire. Just couldn't keep it good. Problem with barley, esp the hybrid varieties, here is that the grain will die off and the straw is green as grass. Need to leave it at least a fortnight.
  11. Nice updates again Julian! Especially with the MF combine. What will you do with all the recently baled barley straw? I can understand you want it baled before the rain but surely it's to damp to store for a long time? I've done a season with a contractor/forage trader and we could never bale behind the combine as it would be to damp. Needed a day at least, even if it was 30c+.
  12. I thought Mark Zuckerberg bought David off FTF?
  13. Ah yes I used to use poppy seed. Went to a local bakery to get some as they usually have plenty lying around. If you're bored you can always sniff it for the cocaine.
  14. It won't be for long then.
  15. Nice to see they are still running a TW 25 as well among the new bits!
  16. Nice to see some harvest shots Tractorman.
  17. Is the new granular Roundup better than the liquid form David?
  18. Alex, nice to see you have started. Can I ask why are you using bushels? Tonnes per acre ok but the American system! Have a safe harvest, looking forward to more updates.
  19. Looks nice David. What stuff did you use in the chaser bin? Looks nice.
  20. I see, there are a few Germans that have online stores with CNC or 3D printed parts. Might be one of them. Joe Catkom will know I bet.
  21. Why didn't I think of such a thing! Thanks a lot. Often the best ideas are the most simple ones! If I had only know fifteen years ago. When I was playing with tractors for duals I used to use some elastic bands or putty to put them together. Should have gone for magnets. Ah well.. Do you know if you can still get those cage wheel kits?
  22. Looks lovely Sean! Can I ask, how do you make the duals stuck to the inner wheels? Does the turning and locking mechanism work as real life?
  23. Ah I see. Well if you extended the RW it would be fine but I guess it will collide with cereal harvest. What will you do with the fields afterwards?
  24. I hope the Richard Western will get some greedy boards for the whole crop Alex! I'm surprised you guys haven't started cutting yet as most seems done? In early years you can get whole crop rye cut and maybe establish forage maize for the plant afterwards?
