маu$*2k9*kid
Basically all i do is take lots of photo's and measurements then use my calculations of 10mm to the foot and scale it down As has been said in the past my conversion size is not quite 1/32 but it is as near as dam it so I'll stick with it Just draw it out onto graph paper and get building It also helps if you are good with a pair of tweezers that is todays lesson taught grrrr i hate maths

SMurF
Allas I have a confesion :'( The model won't move exactly as the real thing as I can't get the travel in the rams to move to scale distances I have made up 4 different rams for 1 job only to settle for the closest match and had to make a compromise on movement so the hedge cutter will not be able to fold up as per the real thing But It'll pose well in cutting mode A little note as to scaling a model down from the real thing is that there is no way possible to do some of the construction in the scale sizes or they would be just too flimsy to use in any way at all I.E. 1/4 inch steel would equate roughly to 0.20mm and that is way too small to do the job so I've had to make a few bits more robust for streangth \ Anyway onwards and upwards Shall post some more pictures later in the week Regards SMurF

Tractorman810
is this one similar to the scaledown one scott?? mines based on the one we had at the farm, and it doesnt have that top arrangment on it, so the rams were easier to sort,

Tractorman810
ah ours was a fixed side one, hence it didnt have the big arrangment on the top, just 1 simple joint, oftern wondered why they had that, so learnt something new as well

We converted the barns at Peace Farm [the chicken farm] along the same road as BW.... thames water use to run a lot of bomford 580 contractors flails on mf 590 red cabs, the tube containing pivot pin in centre knuckle was prone to failure!. you needed lots of weight on the tractor to counterbalance these flails. nick a
thames water use to run a lot of bomford 580 contractors flails on mf 590 red cabs, the tube containing pivot pin in centre knuckle was prone to failure!. you needed lots of weight on the tractor to counterbalance these flails. just for a bit of fun i will tell a tale that hopefully bring a smile to someones face!. worked as a fitter for a contractor who went bust and only gave everyone a weeks notice. he issued instructions to get everything ready for the sale. he wanted bomford contractors flail putting onto a tractor to sell as an outfit. the boss then announced he was away on holiday and leave us to it and paid us up in advance. let the fun commence! took tractor into workshop, set rear wheel on one side out and add wheel weights. manouvre hedgecutter through workshop doorway and fit onto tractor. pleasing result tractor now to wide to fit through workshop door and flail too high to go under the door. all previously worked out before work started. so off we go wages in hand bye bye thankyou very much- oh such fun.
