the other green
I snapped these photos on a parts run last summer. First is a John Deere 8640 with an Unverferth grain cart. Second is a John Deere 7800

the other green
Sorry Doc, but you have to keep the rabble happy Here's a couple more for the slightly less un-educated. First is an International 3788. Would look good as the next Toy Farmer 4WD eh? Second is an MF 1805 which is, I believe, for sale. How about it Marky? Your wife wouldn't need to worry about shelf space.

the other green
A close-up of the triple nickel. This was a really nice tractor. Pity the engines in them are terrible. Second picture is a 2-105 White (I think) and one really sad 2130 John Deere, so the auctioneer said.

I have also heard that them 555's fall to bits when they get a few hours on the clock. \
the other green
If I remember correctly, that one only made 4500 bucks. Even if you re-power it, it's not a big enough tractor for serious grain farming any more. To be quite honest, I don't know of many with any amount of hours on them. 5000 is doing really well. Guest Fendt pwr
The dry clutch in them makes them not the best for working on a silage pit witch is a buggar because they are cheap and heavy.
the other green
Cheap an' heavy. Sounds like the qualifications for a boat anchor.

SPN
Claas Combines were marketed by Ford in the Colonies. Originally they were branded as Ford combines (Senator/Dominator). If you look closely behind the cab it says "Marketed thru Ford Dealers". Maybe Bob Turk can provide more info as they were quite popular in his part of the World. Lord Ferguson
Wow TOG - you boys sure have some kit over there - Would LOVE that 1805 as well - looks to be in tip top condition... just looked it up in my book... 192hp - Cat 3208 - V8 engine? 12fwd/4rev gears - and three point linkage was only an option (as was PTO)... finally she'd to 21mph as well. I want one badly now? :( :'( :'( :'( :'(
the other green
SPN is bang-on with what he says about Claas combines being marketed through Ford dealers. I don't know when that agreement ended, the mid to late eighties I'd guess. Then the Claas combine's next guise was,of course, in Caterpillar livery as seen in the same photo. Marky, the 1805 had just had a paint-job. It's a former MF dealership that has it. Now they sell GM automobiles.
MJB1
not an international fan TOG but that 3788 looks in pretty good nic so does the 1805 .the bigger masseys & the snoopys are getting quite collectable over here now. marky there's a chap in wales thats got an 1805 with a V8 detroit diesel fitted , were these an optional fitment as he recons it's all original . it's got front linkage for a mower & silage wagon hitched up to it all year round for zero grazing . sounds great but smokes like buggery
