Looking to buy a front Linkage, any tips or hints which to or not to buy???

As topic title, my 6930 needs a front linkage

I want to run with stonefork on front, or furrow press with the seed drill and my weight block when ploughing, I think 3.5 Tonne will be big enough

Has anybody here any tips on existing experience of different makes??

And if you know of a good 2nd hand one anywhere i'd be grateful

I doubt it'll be to small,that's Exactly the same front linkage John Deere use on the 6000 series tractor's

Laforge front linkages seem too be a good job, or a wilson all depends if you want a fold up one.

Zuiderburg seem to be pretty much the best in them. Why dont you give nelson alexanders a call, they sometimes have good second hand ones that would do a turn.

I have a Zuidberg on my 6920s Ricky, got absolutely no complaints with it at all, in fact its one of the few things on the tractor that isn't trouble ;D Make sure that you get one that has double acting rams on it though, you'd be surprised how handy that can be in certain situations and check to see how it will be plumbed in as mine is hard plumbled into the back of the spools with a changeover block, better than having it on probe ends into a spool itself.

Oh yes I do, I have 1200kg of weights hanging on it at the minute for ploughing, its also the only way to pick up and move my furrow press as none of the rear linkages drop low enough when its on the ploughed work.

Once you have a front linkafe you'll be surprised as to how much you do use it

  you know it makes sense..........     with all the extra  steel you might not need such a big block in front! ...oh and of course for lifting those extra big boulders on your fork.

don`t mind me I couldn`t resist, I somehow doubt if you need the extra capacity but probably worth pricing just in case its not that much more money

Just out of interest Ricky, what is the maximum front axle loading for a 6930 as I'd imagine with a 5t front linkage it would be getting close when loaded up?

Its £100 more for a 5tonne

Not sure on the loading Gav, I'l hardly be lifting that kinda weight anyway, its just for the comfort of power, if you know what i mean?

Yeah I know what you mean Ricky, for that much extra in cost it may be worth going for though no matter what. Unsure what capacity mine is without having a look on it but never short of lift.
