Lower Odd Farm

Well nearly a year and no updates! Sorry for no updates everyone. A lot hs gone on here since the last update, harvest 2013 went smoothly once started. Over within a week and a half apart from the beans. Crop rotation is back to normal with the farm being into; winter barley, wheat, rape and beans. We drilled our own rape this year with our cousins v-form adapted to a microtill machine. Being the only ones in the area with such machine we have picked up a lot of contract work, which dad will be able to carry out as I can kmwo drive on the road making life alot easier! Machinery wise everything is the same and running well. However we replaced our ageing parmiter post banger with a new Protech P200s tele 10 months ago. Also a very recent addition to the fleet is a 12 plate 6125r, complete with fromt linkage, 4 electric spool valves, twin beacons etc. We have been looking for another smaller tractor for a while to relieve the 64 and tbe the 68 from some of there work as theynare nearing 7000 hours and are also 20 years of age next year along with the 77. Pictures to follow once I have finished my exams. Hope you find my rather wordy update interesting. Will

Very good reading  Will and all the best with the exams too

Sorry for lack of updates recently, have been pretty flat out! This summer I have nene working at home and for someone else driving the devils tractor! My boss farms and also has a large collection 60+ of masseys, so I have driven everything from a 35 to his newest tractor a 6480.

At home we had a cracking harvest and we had record breaking yields for us. On the machinery front nothing much has changed, we are very pleased with our 6125r and have clocked up nearly 300 hours on it in 4 months. Recently we have been trailing short disc harrows, we had a Horsch joker, KRM Agrisem disco mulch and a kvernland thing! We were very pleased with the Horsch and the Agrisem and it will come down to the price of these two to decide which one we have. Witht the joker demo we also had a Fendt 724 that came with it, very very nice tractor to drive. But it will take some serious persuasion to make us change shade of green! I changed phones half way through the summer so I lost the first half of my harvest photos but I will try and track them down. Photos are very much at random! Any questions regarding anything I will answer willingly! Enjoy :)
