Gerbent
Hi, this is my Ford 8630. The model is based on the 8830 from UH, the chassis, cab and rear rims are from this model. The wheels and front axle are from a Deutz TTV from UH. The bonnet is from a 8630 New Ray model. To finish the model, I've put on a PMA hitch.
dalethecaptain
That's an absolute stunner, well done! Those big tyres from the Deutz look perfect. Was there much cutting involved in the 8830 Chassis, how much did you have to cut out?
Gerbent
The only thing I had to cut, was the front of the chassis. And I put the front axle further to the rear to match the right wheelbase.

Paul Palmer
very nice, does look good with those deutz wheels and tyres Edited August 3, 2012 by paulali
dalethecaptain
Thanks for the info, I know from looking at the dimensions the wheelbase is slightly shorter and looking at my 8830 I could not work out where to chop it. You have got it spot on, would be nice to see it next to an 8830 for comparison. I am liking the New Ray Bonnet, its a pretty good shape and it goes well. I have an Ertl TW15 I was going to take the bonnet from.

Deere-est
It's not very often a conversion comes up which is every bit as good or better than a stock model. This is one. You have put together a stunning model, it really does look superb.

Dont know about them ERTL ones.
