Have you read his tips on karens site  ???  ;)

Otherwise John (jdc) is your man, he is magic at putting scaledown models together.

Loads of patience required jason  ;)

I'm hoping John will offer to do it for me but don't tell him.  ;)::)

Hello, found the forum a little while ago. think its great! There are some fantastic convos etc about.

I made a TM155 A few months ago, lots of patience and dont try brush painting it. Did a little, looked crap and had to clean it off and start again. Spray finish looks good now.

Hope you like the picture.

First thing ive written on here and am goiing to be away for two weeks but will be back!

IMHO Scaledown sre great but you must:

Know all the parts and where they must fit (bit obvious) Check that parts fitted much later will go on before glue dries.

File all flat surfaces - flat.

Clean well with a soft brass wire brush ('Hush Puppy')

Use the slightly elastic epoxy glue.

Have a good set of sub 3mm drills and needle files.

Wash thoroughly in soapy water before priming.

Paint with an airbrush.

Take your time!  ;)

Cheers for those pointers John, I doubt I would have thought to wash the parts before painting.  :)

There are a lot in this one, I'll lay out all the parts and take a photo for you first chance I get.

One other thing- half way through making it found i was missing one part!

Having spent ages looking for it and empting bin on kitchen floor i called Nigel

He wasnt surprised it was missing and asked to check two other parts were present- They wernt!

Mine wasnt the only kit missing these three parts. He sent bits no problem, Then in a much better mood.

Moral is to check before you start to save a lot of worry.

Back in a couple of weeks.
