When I built and glazed the County cab last year John, I asked at my local model shop and they recommended a glue called  " Glue n Glaze " It not bad stuff actually it goes on white like pva glue and any residue dries clear, so any small mark doesn't really show up too much.

you can also get "fog free" superglue, I have used that in the past, along with normal  revel / humbrol model making glue to, I tried plasti weld once, and whilst it melted the glazing to bond ok, it for some reason would not melt the cab plastic to bond to it ,but again there was no fog etc on the glazing so I guess with a scratch built cab it would work
