844john
Another six inch or so of the white stuff last night, schools off, so there's only one thing to do with the snow once I'd cleared our road and was pestered to push some into a heap... 844john
Think I've reached a certain point in life, after an hour on the quad bike feeding round in freezing snow and wind, I've finally realised all I want from life...... is a bloody good heater! mb86
There is nothing like the feeling of getting back into the tractor on a bad day and having to take your wooly hat and coat off because it is too warm.

844john
Some of the worst snow and wind I've seen in a very long time, blizzard conditions all day. These were taken this morning, and its just gotten a lot worse as the day went on
Janval
How cold does it get there? This week we've been having some cold, around -15C when I go to work in the mornings, and that's wheen the sun has risen. No idea how it is at night, but probably below -20C. It doesn't snow at these low temps, which is about the only positive thing, but really looking forward to spring now!

Not as cold as that thankfully Jan, pick-up said minus 7 this morning, but wind chill apparently made it feel like into the minus teens, it was bloody cold on the quad right up until i got it stuck in a drift, then i warmed up a bit! Valley Axe Man
We not had as much as that down here in the Valley, been a bit of snow and some blowing, hellish windy too. Was a few drifts over the tops on way to work yesterday morning, but pushed on through, was a bloke in a berlingo van following me.... think he'd been sat waiting for someone to go first rather than set off himself. ... 844john
Spent the morning putting a few bags of fert on for my father, you can tell it's not my tractor, it's not shining in the sun!
844john
Back home after a few nights away up the Northumberland coast at Seahouses, a beautiful part of the country indeed. As it's still a working harbour it was nice to watch the fishing boats loading up with bait on a morning before setting out to sea, and then returning later in the day to land their catch

844john
we also took a boat ride out to the Farne Islands, which are home to large colonies of Puffins and other sea birds, seals, and one the way back we came across a pod of dolphins which swam with the boat, jumping and playing for a good ten minutes or more, it was truly fantastic and the kids still haven't stopped talking about it! Of course, all i managed to photograph was water as they jumped quicker than i could click!

Mind, as the wife has brought to my attention, and on a number of occasions too i might add, we've only had 3 nights off the place in the last 15 years, .....three nights, how much more do you want i keep telling her! She reckons I'm hefted to the spot! .......actually, she might have a point
