FendtFarmer Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 Looking back through the forum most of the older pictures have being lost through various updates, so thought I’d start a topic for people to share there dads tractors models, sadly I don’t currently own any trailers but hopefully one day I might 2 Quote
tractorman314 Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 This is only Dads Tractors model I have, wish I had bought all the trailers when they first came, as finding any for sale now is nigh impossible. tractorman314. 2 Quote
James Joe Dewar Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 JDC, John Cranston, used to build a lot of brass implements and share them on here, But he retired from farming a few years back and seems to have left model building these days, However he did have quite a few Dad's Tractor pieces, you can view them in this hyperlink below, https://dunfarmin.co.uk/gal/gal.php Regards Joe. 1 Quote

CallumC Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Did "dad's tractors" make sheds as well ? Sure I remember him making sheds fuel tanks and the trailers and what not I'd love a trailer one day Quote

Sure I remember him making sheds fuel tanks and the trailers and what not I'd love a trailer one day no that was his friend, george poole? i think was his name, i got a couple of grain silos of him, and my water tower on the layout. all made from card and other bits. very nice stuff , wish i could have afforded his barns and other bits at the time. really nice guy to talk to, very helpful in advising how to make stuff yourself 3 Quote
Tractorman810 Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 i have 3 of his trailers, two versions of the 3.5 ton pettit ( one has a removable grain top) and a 3.5 ton ransomes, also have a un made mill loader of his, which i managed to buy when he retired, not got round to getting a scaledown te20 to fit it to yet though 2 Quote
FendtFarmer Posted December 14, 2023 Author Posted December 14, 2023 After posting this topic, I made some enquiries and ended up purchasing a Pettit, Ransomes and a fuel bowser, very happy with these models 7 Quote
Cornish-model-farm Posted December 15, 2023 Posted December 15, 2023 I've got a Dad's Tractors Ferguson A (Ferguson Brown) on steel wheels and another on rubbers. They were limited editions but production ceased early, so there was never a full run. I think someone said it was because of a dispute over the ownership of the casting moulds or something. I also have a Dad's Tractors fuel bowser on rubber tyres - mine is a red oxide colour. 1 Quote
