phil phoenix
Two of Pretoria Energies maize gangs were in and around my village early last week. The first were led by a one year old Claas Jaguar 990 and were using mainly five Scania truck chassis with Kawecko walking trailer units bolted on top. These were feeding a conveyor system fed by a Massey 8740S which dumped into articulated lorries with more walking floors. Only 3 waiting loads were permitted at the conveyor port due to slow artic lorry turnarounds, so any more full trailers had to leave the field and head back to the maize clamp 20 miles away. There was also a flock of swifts flying overhead as the Jaguar harvested maize and disturbed clouds of fly's, the acrobatic flying manouvre's of these birds was a joy to behold.
CX820Joe
That’s a fair set up using trucks to cart the forage. do they take the bodies off outside the season and use them for other jobs?
