should that be 16.9 x26. Our Marshall M tyre can be stretched a bit to this size. Chestnut miniatures use them as combine front tyres on the Allis Gleaner & Clayson.

The 26 is the rim diameter in inches that the tyre is on.  The 16.9 is what is called the section width, the tyre at is widest part., again in inches . You would have a 100% ratio so would be roughly the same height as width with a full tread.  More technically this is measured at a standard pressure and load.  Divide by 32 to get the scaled down sizes.

Thanks Dwross... so then...

26+16.9+16.9 is 59.8" (the tyres... sorry Tire if you are in uncle shermans garden.... height is)... 59.8"

Which is.... 1518.9mm... lets call it 1519 shall we...

1519 / 32 is... 47.46mm... so that's the height...

Width is simple... 16.9" wide is 429.26mm lets call it 429mm.... 429mm / 32 is 13.4mm... so that's the width..

No then Mr Pullen... do you have a tyre that's 47.46mm tall and 13.4mm wide then  ???

STANDARD TRACTOR TYRES SIDEWALL IS 95% OF TREAD SECTION WIDTH NOT 100%

EVEN THOUGH ITS NOT MARKED ON OLD TYRES 16.9X26 IS ACTUALLY 16.9/95X26 BUT THEY DIDNT BOTHER PUTTING THE 95 ON SIZE MARKING IF YOU WANT ILL LOOK IN TECH DATA BOOK TOM AND GET CORRECT HEIGHT ECT IN MM
