powerrabbit
How much character these old building have is just great. It's a pitty that we don't find any around, although they must be out there. Together with the old lead and hollowcast animals, horse and cart and period implements really takes us all back to our real childhood and to our Granddad's time, when farming was farming and life was hard but good. I've nearly got a tear in my eye now! :'(

britainsnut
I find A building in Spalding last time. Is it britains? I think it is hugar. Hi looking at the label its definately not britains as ther never had a surrey sddress but i couldnt tell you who it is made by. Sorry \
valtra130
hi , yes that is a hugar building as they were based at epsom in surrey , they also built the models for britains in 1939 and this could easily be a variation on the mansard barn 103f which i have seen in this style listed as britains , just because the label doesnt say britains does not mean that it isnt as hugar were the sub contractors for all the 1939 buildings and possibly the post war 500f buildings . there is also an even rarer set of wooden buildings built in 1959 and listed under britains acorn range , again none of these are marked britains they are ULTRA rare . Andy
Dad and I picked up these two buildings wednesday. They are in excellent condition, amongst which, were many other Hugar buildings. Country Cottage Farmhouse
THEBRITFARMER
Wow Andy they look as though they have just come straight from the factory. A great find indeed. Very nice.
super6
Some lovely buildings there Andy. Is the papier mache cottage 1/32? it looks a little bit like the Lilliput ones. Is it about 9" to 9.5" long, 4.5" to 5" wide and 6" tall plus the stubby chimney? Are the windows and doors stickers/decals? It looks like an updated version of 44F with some of the timber framing removed and a hip roof added at the other end, so post war?
gogreengelb
Hey that white cottage is the spitting image of the real thing at Thorney Toll by the Grain Dryers. The are just super. Gotta start looking out for something else now

We were told that both versions were later variations, and slightly harder to find
