ratholderen Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 After the wet harvest this year, the danish farmers has got a new and big problem. The problem is snails in millions, they eat the wheat and rape when it came up. There is a lot to do about it. Have anyone seen it in other contries? Quote
Gav836 Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 We do have a slug/snail problem here every year but just put on slug pellets with a broadcaster which seems to solve the problem or at least ease it Quote

Deerepower Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 catch the snails and sell them to a restaurant Quote
ihatepoundland Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 The slug problem was in the news over summer, it wasn't sunny enough so they could stay out for longer eating and therefore breeding without drying out. We put homemade 'traps' made of plastic tubs and slug pellets in the garden, usually got at least 12 per trap, I'm sure if we had more out we could have caught 100's. Quote
