MDFord
Yes Tris, its just standard keysteel, not stainless. You can file & drill it easy
Deere-est
And how about fixing it, solder or aryldite?

MDFord
And how about fixing it, solder or aryldite? Well in this application I just drilled 1mm right through the plastic frame and keysteel and pinned it, also gave it a little coat of araldite to make sure #I don't think solder would be a 100% reliable method \

Looks like aluminium alot. Hi alpinefocus (dan??) Keysteel is a square or rectangular section piece of steel that is used to transmit drive from a rotating shaft to a pulley, gearwheel etc by use of the "key" sitting in the keyways (slots) aligned on the shaft and pulley. Usually mild steel and is quite easy to file, drill etc.
