  1. Managed to sell my mates Nuffield that he has used in his wood yard on a spliter for several years,at 80years of age he has retired VID_20231203_140053776.mp4
  2. I did get 6acres ploughing done one evening on a frost. Another 30acres to plough and about 30 acres of wheat I drilled to rip up before spring if we get a few more good frosts, will end up working through the night if frosts are ok
  3. Back on farm I tried walking a field I drilled of winter wheat back in October,it has just rotted away VID_20231129_120628143.mp4
  4. Really need 2days to look around properly. They are hoping to have a few open days next year as Bill has got his granddaughter onboard and getting things in place and opening up to public on certain days

Beet are heavy in a normal bucket , if them buckets are not loaded evenly they will twist so need a experienced driver on them ,yes they heap up with them but they push beet into a water channel built into the flat-pads and water transport beet into factory , my local factory at Bury St Edmunds are slicing about 15,000 tonnes a day so need big buckets to keep pushing into water flumes
  8. Well done ,i had one of them which we had stored undercover for years so was in real good order ,i gave mine to a local steam enthusiast that often had open days for charities with me it was just stuck in back of shed where nobody could see it

  12. not sure on synchromesh gears , my cousin should be coming up tomorrow to get it ,i will ask him as i have not driven it
  13. This is gearshift pattern on left side of drivers seat and other levers on right hand side of seat ,cab not as good on inside as it is on outside

I think John has answered your question about gearshift ,i have not looked in cab as my cousin drove it onto my lowloader and i then brought it home it is still at mine on lowloader as he cant get to his shed as got sugar beet in the way i will have a look tomorrow and just see what it has got

  17. Not got a chainsaw big enough to Go through this so split it up into smaller bits the old way , forgot how hard it is to swing a sledge hammer these days

Just can't get on with farm work as so wet , wattisham has been the wetest place around here,on 25 October we had had 334% more rain than we normally get in October,BBC has weather station based at wattisham airfield, we are nicknamed now as wettisham.anyway picked these two up from my mates woodyard other day ,got to find a buyer for them
  20. I picked up one of them JCB over last weekend ,not looked at it as yet its still in my truck ,mines in black . (i am sure its same model will check later on )
