Yes the David Brown is the one from my mates wood yard its developed a oil leak in cab which is to do with the steering wheel having to top it up every day so he asked if I could find the time to see if I can fix it . Yes tires are a lot bigger today on the front of modern tractors then the rears of these classics but that is only as the tractors are 4 times heavier than the golden oldies ,was at a meeting a few weeks back and a Fendt spokesperson said that as and when driverless tractors are accepted they could see them getting smaller again but more off them in same field to keep up with the workload all on GPS the video he showed us looked like Ants all moving about so it could be the future ,and as for Santa well I better go and lock my 474 up don't wont that disappearing down somebody else's chimney haha Thanks Paul

On the way home yesterday with the 474 I stopped at my mates to also pick up his David Brown/Case as it too has a steering problem (oil-leak under dashboard ) and it also needs its fuel pipes looking at as it keeps sucking in air and stopping ,first thing for both tractors will be a good steam-clean then get both in the barn at least I will have something to do over Christmas

Long story short, I rent a small farm which I farm together with the one I own but I am supposed to be using this IH 414 to farm the land anyway its not really practical to do this but they cant be sold as such , so with the agreement of the deceased executors ownership has been passed on to me so that in theory I can trade it in for a better one which would be mine and any money from the trade in (trade in technically means we have not sold them)will be passed on to the reg charity that now owns the land that I rent, simples , so at this moment I own a 414 and also a IH474 together with a F W WHEATLEY 3/4 ton trailer . I picked this 414 up on my own low-loader the other day and dropped it of at a mates as he is going to give it a going over as its been parked under a hedge for the past 2or3 years and it will probably stay at my mates he has had it running but needs flushing out to clean out the dirty oils

Another job have been on is fixing up these stairs on some flats down Felixstowe bit of a puzzle getting the right bits in the right place as not only is there a left-hand/right-hand set in the 5 sets there is a slit difference in some of the sizes which is down to the builders of the flats not us ,the stairs was sent to the galvaniser's in the sets but come back all muddled up

Yes it is a lovely trailer ,it belongs to a old mate off mine I have said to him if he ever wonts to sell it I will have it he use it for his small firewood business the wood I had in it is small stuff that he don't like putting in his loads so I cut it up for myself and bring home then the wife bags it up as the small bits fit the bags then we sell it outside the farm gate for a little bit off pocket money we also burn some off it ourselves
