  1. Cheers 05Rich...they are made from Plastruct, observation and imagination !
  2. Progress report... bit of roofing done, just on with wiring up the bigger workshop before that gets roofed as well..and a bit of detail added to one of the smaller stores.
  3. Yes..food and beer for us two, staying at the travelodge as well..
  4. Thanks for all the comments, glad you all seem to like it. It's taking a long time but I will get there eventually. It all takes time to do 'cos it's done from memory and imagination. Whenever we go out we are always on the lookout for ideas and inspiration, and then it's a case of trial and error until you are happy with the end result. It's not a matter of skill just patience and imagination. Cheers !
  5. They come separate but you do need one for each LED..and they are exactly like the ones for model railways 'cos thats where we get them from!
  6. The LED's are wired in a parallel circuit with a resistor for each LED, straight from a 9v battery - no circuit board needed, but make sure you use a parallel circuit and not a series circuit.
  7. Ok then...six small but bright white LED's but no flash or background light.
  8. Thanks Graham..yes quite happy with it so far, but the concrete floor needs muckying up a bit, oil leaks etc.. Everything just takes so much time, as you well know.
  9. Just finished putting all the bits n bobs into the ground floor of the small workshop....
  10. We shall be there - for the fourth year running. It's a really good two day show, with an auction outside on the Saturday morning, whilst all the rest of the show goes on undercover - which is just as well seeing as its so early on in the year!
  11. Looking forward to seeing everyone there..should be a good night and a good show with so many FTF folk there..
  12. We have booked into Springfields as well - nice and early cos we booked it at the last Spalding! So two more at that big table then eh!
  13. Actually that project is in the early planning at the moment!
  14. Cheers Tris..Spalding is a possibility..at the moment I am sat thinking how to get enough light in it, so that when the slated roof is on you will still be able to see the detail inside. L.E.D.'s and natural light from roof lights at the moment..
  15. Made a start on the ground floor interiors whilst I can get in to it... fixed a broken PB link
  16. Cheers Simon..I reckon I'm about half way there, but hopefully two thirds finished....many many hours left to go!
  17. Long way to go yet...but cheers for the comments
  18. Hi Marky...been on the go with this one since April's Spalding Show, with about 2 hours per night so....erm....thats about....lots of hours !! No seriously if my maths is something like correct its about 450 hours so far....
  19. Just got another phase finished so thought it was time for a photo update... Stonework finished, all doors on and windows in, concreted inside the buildings and out in the yard. Next up is work on the internals before the roofing struts and electrics go in....
  20. What a way to spend a Sunday.....Can't beat it.....Wending your way round country roads in 3" of snow, a bit sideways a couple of times but good fun..... then a model show at the end of the journey! There were some good displays - ones that we haven't seen before as well, and a few trade stands. Well done to all concerned. Eh Marky you could get a good brew as well, in proper mugs....
  21. Graham - we thought they might have been yours but couldn't get near enough to the guy to ask him. They looked good!
  22. And last but most certainly not least - we have the main man of the day Harold Powlton's 1/87th scale display. I hope that you all enjoy these pictures, and I apologise if I have got any names wrong. The pictures don't seem to do the show justice, and I was not able to get near enough to the trade stands with the camera because of the crowds, but they were there I promise and doing good trade. Finally congratulations and thank you to Harold for putting on an excellent show, and to everybody who attended.
