    My week

Now heres a sight you dont see everyday a 580+ following a 600 up the field both on 30ft fronts But we recently had a NH CR9090 with 35ft head on the front on demo and we were very much impressed but exactly same output as 600 there was no difference And now some serious heavy metal our Case MX285 which is now chipped on our 7 leg cousins subsoiler
  2. The magnum developing a very large oil leak yesterday and then it getting worse today called ernest does out and the hitch valve they fitted a month ago has gone again was faulty so thats now sat in dealers with the cab up again while im stuck farting about on boring work and getting further behind on subsoiling :'(
  3. The magnum having rather major oil leak while out subsoiling meaning early finish again wanna get on with it
  4. Sorry taken so long to get back but we've been flat out recently having had 2 combines on the go had lexion 580+ on loan for few days and yesterday had a CR9090 on demo with 10.5m header so we've been busy carting to say least but always welcome to come photo malcy whenever have time

    My week

For the 4 previous seasons we had her she was averaging 3500 a year so had 14000 acres in 950 drum hours so you do maths and thats average of 14acres hour
  6. Come a little further south to sufolk and essex borders and our 600 is floating about
  7. When on 7 furrow be on the magnum as it's a mounted plough so deere hasn't got a hope lifting 7 furrows
  8. Got 7 furrow KV coming soon which were taking down to 6 for week or two too try and brake it in a bit but the trailers waking it up big time not enough as nolow down grunting all day
  9. Well I've normaly got it set on full auto so cuts it right back when running empty then when loaded its better on auto then power as got 18ton behind and seems to tighten it a bit so to speak but I'm starting to wonder where everythings being given a wake up call cause it's been on sprayer for it's first 400 hours

    My week

Cheers for nice comments everyone But the 600 is no longer under warranty as it's an 05 plate so one of the very first aka it was badged a 580 for 2 seasons Well for an update we had a Case axial flow 9120 out on demo and it was brilliant absolutly flew and were pleased with it so very strong possibility. But the 600 is working well now averaging 60tph in spring barley this week so keeping us busy on carting on some serious hills
  11. Well mine's got a little with an empty trailer on but with when just one tank load on board (8-9 ton or so) its useless just runs away so as can imagine when trying to load up second tank it gets interesting the Claas 697 is peeing all over me but we are on hills at the moment the combine can't get up just down but this is just general statement I'm finding with autopower not to pleased with it much as whines so much when pulling hard
  12. well all our rape was put in off a topdown and had average yield of 2 tonnes to the acre with 120 acres doing 2.5 average across the area so anyone who says it's rubbish isn't doing it right as this is first year we did it and had best ever yields off it with our previous best doing 1.5t to the acre off a proper drill
  13. Do you have any troubles with autopower on hills with you gav if you have any of course? As I'm currently tempted to throw a match at it as has no engine braking so as you can imagine it's a pain as putting all faith on brakes and then loading on hills as vario cuts out and having air brakes there either on or off

Erm we use branch braintree way Stupid I know woulda thought all lads were in not just foreman on phone's Never truer word spoken tris thats why if we get extra land were is looking at running 2 combines so that at least one will be running if other has problems. We thought about it but were trying to get claas to cover costs at the moment as these faults should have been found while they inspected it before we bought it But what I've been doing today inbetween loading lorrys with rape
  15. Wish ours was lit up to start with

Well quick update we broke down again today but this time it's fairly major we think a bearings gone in either a rotor or on drum as machine will shake violently to the point you see all the pullys move we started taking it apart to find out but thought screw its dealers problem not ours as again they wouldn't come out. I know it's a sunday but challenger dearler came out today and so was deere one. Not yet Ol but boss highly rates them already so and is already pricing two up (high chance we'll have another 700-1000acres) so could be interesting see what happens on that front

One out set-aside topping bit overkill but my tractor was sat on trailer incase it was fit and ready to go but still ended up topping for the week. And one our rain showers had 10mm in under 10 mins and that pic was taken with wiper flat out

    My week

Well thought give little update we have started cutting has very much been stop start mix of the weather and breakdowns with combine to the extent we getting demos in off other makes with the axial flow and deere being priority. This has mainly been due to dealers saying combine was ready but no were near it called out 5 times to sort things out we discovered while getting ready and recently its chewing the chopper belt total 4 times so far with it happening around half 6 one time and rang local dealers they said no-one will be out to you till tomorrow at earliest (due to to late a call out) to say we were annoyed is understatment so it was parked next to main road so everyone could see there flagship machine is broken down But they have done 4 mods now to it each time belt has gone and its still not right But still here some pics of hay harvest with claas on row crops cause otherwise mower wont fit on.
  21. Well round here were all getting royaly hacked off at wether havn't had a decent days weather since i sprayed the rape off nearly 3 weeks ago all rapes dead but cause the wet its still at 13% so were all waiting around for nice weather to show up some time
  22. Well we've changed all tyres back on tractor so 7530 and Claas look alot better now ha ha! cb is fitted to me deere and combine and im off to pick one the trailers up on monday a nice 18tonner to hopefully give it a shot in osr in afternoon and see if will go but depends on weather next couple days time to get camera charged
  23. Moving to Essex today only in caravan for the summer but thats fine by me only be used 6hrs a day or so for sleep and can fall out cab into it. But im officially a working member of society again not a student :D
  24. Brilliant update as always luke nice to see that 7530 working hard cant wait to break mine in properly How much have you all cut so far? Do you do much on arable side things come harvest? Or is your boss solely silage side of things?
