  1. I was going by some of the old prices on some of my boxed stuff . Seriously cheap back then but all relative I suppose .
  2. It would be a lovely set to have though . I have the tractors and the trailers and the clockwork trailer but not all of them boxed . They are likr the holy grail for me !
  3. I like the Ayrshires ,they are pretty rare aren't they ?
  4. Lovely animals there mate ,they put more effort into them when Herald made them .
  5. Yeah , a Fordson DDN for 9 schillings would be cool ! Then again how much was a schilling in old money ?
  6. I spy treasure on the lower right of the picture ,Spadelug DDN . Lovely !
  7. DRIBBLE DRIBBLE ! Thats a lovely old set and the reason I would sacrifice my MF 590 !
  8. Great to see the pics of the old catalogues Andy . I love the old stuff ,the boxes and catalogues are excellent ,they put so much more effort into them years ago . It was the same for Corgi and Dinky as well ,allthough I am too young to remember them first hand !
  9. Hello everyone and best wishes . Anybody out there have a Yellow Ford 5000 Supermajor . If not has anybody ever seen one for sale and if so how much money are they worth ? Cheers
  10. I have also got the old mower in metalic blue .I remember the met blue dumper ,I had one and sold it ,regretted it ever since ! I think it had smooth front wheels and not the muck spreader tyres .
  11. I hope she doesn't see this ! ?425 for a boxed Fordson Super Major (Blue/orange) ?325 for a boxed Fordson Super major (Blue/grey) Down to ?49 for an unboxed Yellow DDN ! Funny how some things work out .
  12. Thats the problem ,when its gone it is gone .I have sold boxed MB Tracs ,MF 2680s TW20s etc and the implements from the same era .Just to finance the purchases of E27ns ,DDNs and horse drawn stuff .Its a shame to have to sell good stuff but for me thats life !The best thing I find is doing bits and pieces for mates ,just low key nothing too grand .I couldn't do it on a big scale ,the fun would go out of it .
  13. The problem I have is lack of funds so I keep selling my newest stuff to buy older models . For instance I would rather have a boxed DDN than boxed MF 595,MF 590 FORD 6600 etc . I also do a bit of converting for mates which brings in some more dough . I try to let my collecting keep itself financially so I try to buy job lots etc . That way is much quieter for me ,the wife can't moan then if we can't feed the 3 kids we have !
  14. It could be for sale soon if the one on ebay makes decent money .I want to buy some more DDNs and older stuff so the newer stuff from the 1970's may have to go .
  15. Heres a picture of mine .I bought it 2 years ago .Sorry about the flash !
  16. I also have a metallic blue 3 furrow variant which I am told is unusual .Is this true ?
  17. Which are the most sought after mini-sets ? Some one told me the frogman with octopus is rare but I would think the tractor is pretty sought after ?
  18. Evening guys and gals .Anybody out there watching the Britains MF 590 Rare boxed tractor ,it's currently sat at ?156.00 with 5 days to go . How far can it go, do you think ?
  19. Thanks for that Nigel .I was chuffed to bits when I found it .It was in a box of odds and ends and all of the up-rights on the trailer were bent and the towing eye was clogged up .It was so clogged up I thought the eye had broken off !
  20. Thanks Nigel ,thats a new one to me ,I will keep an eye out for one .
  21. thats a lovely collection you have there TBF .I am slowly turning green with envy !
  22. Its me again Nigel ,the photo is in the category 'Other farm toys' Cheers .
  23. Hello there Nigel ,maybe you can answer my question in the other category .I have just bought a timber trailer and think it may be one of your scaledown kits .
