  1. Don't know if its been said, but that big Deutz must be a DTU T860 with a make over.
  2. But they are cheaper in the UK
  3. Just ordered the black valtra from a farm models, said they had them in stock, in the post tomorrow . Box is black, you can see it here; http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&Item=270478327020&Category=17037&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26its%3DI%26otn%3D2
  4. Looks like someone has been listening to the demands of the model farming world
  5. Have Siku really got the tracks and paint colour matching on the 8430T as wrong as it would appear from photographs?
  6. UPDATE Slightly more too this since my last update. I sold a subwoofer on ebay which was won by an ebayer with 0% feedback, this ebayer had an obviously fake address but seemed to do a lot of successful business with the seller I originally had the dispute with. They'd also made up the postcode, but parts of it pointed to the area of the seller I'd had the original dispute with, along with a telephone number area code which again supported that theory. Make of that what you will. This seller then left me negative feedback, claiming they had sent cash and not received the goods. Of course they hadn't and in fact couldn't due to not having my address (unless they were connected to a previous seller ). A bit later their feedback is removed and they get an unpaid item strike. If my assumption is correct, I just can believe that a fairly big seller on ebay would act or coerce others to act in such a petty and morally void manner over my negative feedback for their attitude in regards to the poor packaging. Do I regret leaving that Neg feedback? Not one bit
  7. You are not meant to make profit, but you are within your rights to charge for your time and expenses. If everyone did though, it would get rather expensive for single parcels! For example: 5 minutes packing 1 minute finding & writing the address 10 minute, 3 mile round drive to post office 5 minites in post office So even at min wage, that's £2 plus use of a car @ 40p a mile (£1.20) So we're at £3.20 without even adding the cost of packing or postage.
  8. I think the diecast side of eBay may be bit more sheltered due to the people they attract, I've heard plenty of horror stories from the mobile phone/laptop/games consoles/sunglasses side of things. Who knows I don't hate eBay, it is still very useful, but it isn't what it could or should be and it isn't the eBay I signed up for years ago.

  10. I think if you're issuing partial refunds, the seller should have every right to ask for photograhs of the damage, just to be sure. Returns though are as much a pain for the buyer, not to mention a loss of money .
  11. Finally over - feedback left Refund via the paypal process, £5.20 down returning the goods - only took seven weeks. Ebay
  12. Ford FW60 Wheels Looks to have rear hubs that aren't flush with the rim, is that right?
  13. I heard about this today, but it has probably been out there for a while. Some buyers, once having recieved the item are complaining that the item is not as decribed and open a dispute. To avoid the wrath of eBay/Paypal, sellers ask to have the item returned in order to issue a refund. But the buyer only sends back a recorded envelope without returning the item. This satisfies Paypal, who then refund the buyer as they assume the goods have been returned. Buyer ends up with the original goods and their money back.
  14. Nice pictures, what size field(s) were they in?
  15. Ah yes...I think you're right http://www.farmphoto.com/thread.aspx?mid=752968 Numpty for one
  16. It doesn't annoy me at all, I'd like to own a 1200 but I could never bring myself to spend £120+ on one as I'm not that attached to them. I'll own a mass produced, china made replica which no doubt will have at least a couple of quality issues/defects/mistakes on it. Others will have a high quality, limited edition, 'near as perfect' British made replica. We get what we pay for.
  17. They've hologram'd to box, is that a new thing for gold models?
  18. I like the way he draws attention to his own negative feedback
  19. I'm never going to modify a tractor again! It's just a matter of patience nowadays!
  20. Too true, it's frustrating that sellers aren't allowed choice rather than eBay enforcing a rule that favours themselves and the volume sellers.
  21. I've seen electronic servo slow devices before that plug in between the receiver and the servo, would that work?
  22. If they remove free postage, gone will be the days of the 99p bargin Seller is looking at adding 90p postage and a 50p packing cost to the starting price, which adds another 15p for a listing starting at over 99p, so £1.55 before you even start. Then eBay takes their 10% and Paypal takes their 3.4% + 20p. All in, £2 cost to the seller before they break even. It seems to me that in a sector where goods sell for only a couple of quid, free postage could reduce the number of people willing to sell. As a buyer, you won't get reduced postage for multiple items either.
  23. The prices on the TL80s seem to be a bit unpredictable, I think I paid a bit more than market average but got a good un to complete my NH set.
  24. Is it just me, or is the place becoming overly aimed at the big powerseller? Now free P&P is compulsory in several sections, even sections with heavy items, they seem to want to compete with Play.com/Amazon etc. with free postage. Postage is a pain for eBay as they make no money from it in final value fees (although I thought making profit from postage was illegal ) so by making free postage compulsory, the seller starts the auction at a higher price = more listing fees and a higher final value. I hate to say it, but I can only see it being a matter of time before this is rolled out across the whole of eBay, I think the little guy is too time consuming for eBay, they can make larger profits working with the big players. Whilst free postage may seem like a huge benefit for buyers, remember, there is no such thing as free and what the farm toy auctions will lose is the variety of used toys coming to market.
