Swiped by one of the cows yesterday; 6 inch scar and a colourful bruise the result.

Egad! I'll never get one of these at this rate

Stunning! As to rarity: perhaps the Valmet/Class and Hurliman are the rarest?

I have seen a few of these and all have the MF200 sticker stuck over the Autoway sticker, what is your one like? There is also a yellow trailer in a gift set with the first version JCB Fastrac.
Easily identified by its bright/lemony yellow colour, no decal, and has the new cheaper plastic wheel centres I think.

In between cow feeds and moving sheep I was messing about with the tines from the spud lifter-rower which Walterderwent previously helped identify (thanks David!_) and some sore knuckles to prove it.

Well if he does thats the end of the road for him
used real stones.
Is that wall made using aquarium gravel? I did something similar a while back.It makes quite an effective slate wall you might see in Devon, Wales Yorkshire etc

sounds good... torque converters/hydrostatic transmission.. same thing as far as driving is concearned buddy...
Yes though I think he's got the smaller scrapers lined up to drive before any newbie touches his prescious metal!
The very best of luck to you
Thanks. I have mixed emotions on this; It's a world away from the PT work I do at the little mixed/beef unit I've been with, I was only just getting to know those guys! :'( I would, however, be getting paid, and finally some tractor work!

good luck mate, think positive when you go eh
Thanks Sean. There are at least 16 other applicants though I have no idea what the competition is like. He said he'll ring me this weekend.

Go for it mate, hope it goes well for you. Job details please?
Thanks Tris. Its as a general herdsperson and possible apprentice milker plus other general maintenance jobs. Forgot to ask about the size of the farm ha/acre-wise ( ) but he has some 180 animals in total. Most of these are restricted to the farm as he has had a bovine TB outbreak. The parlour is small and cramped with two lines of 14 ?stalls.
I got a brief glimpse of some of the machinery: 1 international 2wd; 1 Case-IH or it may have been a DB/Case (90/94 series); 2 scraper Fords (manual box); 2 JCB telehandlers, one slightly bigger than the other; two big new tractors one of which I'm sure was a JD 6930, and many more besides (most residing in the repairs shop). No Masseys alas
I asked if the Loadalls had hydrostatic transmission, he said no but something similar -"torque converters"-is that right?

Job interview with a dairy farmer. Possibly life changing event (or not) if I get it \

Going with Cerin to Jack Landry's 18th Birthday - he's a John Deere man so we will be representing the Massey Massive
How massive is your Massey Massive exactly?

Hoping to finalise my USA trip in May.
Looking better and better although the girl I was dealing with left the company and left nothing on file for me. The lady who has taken over is very efficient and knowledgeable and the train times are improving - no late night departures and no stopover in Kansas City. Also I now get the train back to Chicago at the end of my holiday and a flight home from there.
Just a few minor details to be sorted and I shall be happy.
Brilliant.
This sounds like the trip of a lifetime! What's wrong with Kansas btw?

Thanks Paul et al this could be useful for Ebay photos.

BC does the 135 cab have the front glazing only? If so the cab should fit, with the muledozer lever going through the lower window in the cabin.
-
She's fitted with an extending drawbar (high vis as it's known).... makes for very easy trailer coupling...
The 8340 I learnt on had this feature it's so useful. I'm not sure why it t so long for other manufacturers to go the same route ? \
What was the worst job(s) you had on the farm?

This happened to a young heiffer soon after i first arrived at the farm. We think it got nervous about being butted by an adult while feeding and pulled its head out too quickly. Remarkable how quickly they grow them back though!
