Uncovering some more maize,..............2 of us,1 shovel, 1 scraper,.......about 9 inches of snow and like a bloody skating rink up there. I hate to think how difficult it must be for farmers further up country with a couple of feet or more, of snow on top of the sheets.............. :(
Would a leaf blower or two come in handy here? \

Besides the usual cow feed/muck, I helped gather up two sheep to take to slaughter. This required taking the livestock trailer across snow fields '& down (frozen) tracks and inevitably the series 3 landrover found itself almost 'hull down' in a giant puddle. we needed 2 chains, 2 shackles, 1 David Brown and 20 minutes of idiocy t pull it out.
All good experience tho

taking Harry out to some playgroup thing near Linton, and to see his little friend!....well it is his 1st birthday!!! ;D ;D ;D
Dipping into this topic a while ago I thought "Harry" was a pet name for your tractor, and you would occasionally take him on an 'outing', but something seemed amiss when you tried teaching Harry to say his first words..

Family meeting up in Rutland today, on the journey through the county I noticed numerous fields with lines or sections of uncut cereal crops on field margins or occasionally dividing plantations. I'm curious if these would be used as some sort of cover crop or for conservation purposes?

hello i was needing help because i was looking for the kind of rivet pins? the ones Britain's normally use for the steering of the tractor etc. Does any one know where to get these ?
I think I know what you're referring to; no replicas have been made of these to my knowledge so you'll probably have to dismantle an old model to get at the pin. What tractor is it?
