Looking at the Peter Baron book
The harrow 9343 issued in 1988
9535
Issued 1962 to 1979
Geo Munroe Ltd in orange replacing 174F ( 174 F was 1959 to 1961 )
The front blade was initially painted silver then silver sticker
There was also a blue version issue in set 9596
This I didn't know, thanks Bill!
As to 9535 released '62-'79, for how long was it released in the green/white plynth box to be replaced by the 'straw' box?

- Powerfarm Maschio harrow 9343, mint in poor box;
- Very poor quality orange Muledozer 9535, in average Sleeve & Plynth box with the funky black lettering*
*Incidently does anybody know the release dates for these boxes and the Muledozer in general? Not much on them in David Pullen's Model Tractors

Boss went to pick our new bull up form York today, met his current owner there who'd brought him from Northumberland, got him back here this afternoon and put him in the pen with a barren heifer.....we were talking about a name for him beginning with D as we already had Austin and still have a Balmoral and Clinton, within 2 minutes he's doing what a Bull should do so his name is ****!!!!! ;D ;D
If he prooves very good at his job perhaps rename him Dirk Diggler!

For weeks now I have either had a male Goldcrest "dancing" on my office windowsill or a female tapping on the window (raiding the spider webs). I looked out this morning to see whether the nest they built last year was in use. The nest - which is really tiny and about the size of a golf ball - is in the top of the honeysuckle growing over an arch around my kitchen window and is directly below my office window.
Here she is as viewed from above!
Sue is that not a wren?

more chain harrowing, this time on a noisy old 995.

Wow thanks for that link Joe, I've never seen such attention to detail and realism!
-
Can you buy them? (Walker Parts or any sellers on here?)
Or are there models I can cut them from?
Thanks
-
That's the one thank you Mandy

This chap needs to look at other "Ivor" Williams listing prices, I got mine for <£13!

The original blue and red Lely Snipe had the Lely logo printed in red on a white label.
The one on some of the later re-issue red and yellow ones was a red label with the Lely logo in white or yellow (I can't remember which without searching mine out ), so they weren't leftovers.
Ah, thanks for clarifying that Ploughmaster

Thank you for sharing these, I love following the 'real life' topics especially this one.

Two more purchases from Spalding I forgot to add to my collection thread, a haybob and hay rake, kindly modeled by a Ford and a Massey just to keep it even, they were both £5 each a steal I think, there was the blue and brown haybob for £5 aswell and Im kicking myself for not picking that up aswell :'( not my colours of choice red and yellow but its the rarer version.
Nice buys. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the even more uncommon r&y bobs that have the original "Lely" decal (as noted elsewhere on the forum, probably factory leftovers from the old blue and red haybob)

Look on the bright side though Chris, you found the cat and made some money ;D ;D
Nope I was shopping, and found neither tools nor models. Complete waste of time

My hopeless internet connection this evening which is currently operating slower than a snail asleep.

The day roaming around wading through thickets looking for a damn cat . And a car boot sale in between.

Finding our cat isn't lost/dead, just a little thin after several days missing

years ago i put a 784 on a 3metre mower .. nearly blew it up oil and water coming from everywere lucky we had a 185
Not enough power or mower in poor shape? I've been told to keep the revs down on this 784 or it overheats
-
International 784 was my steed on 12 April for some chain harrowing. This is my first really 'useful' stint of tractor driving, although unpaid, and more to come I hope.

My own stupidity for believing that as soon as the cows were let out of the field they would all rush back into the barn, as they did last time when food was in the offing Oh well live and learn ...
