weathered mixer wagon
Fendthead replied to Murray's topic in Latest Implement Conversions & Scratch Builds
Good start, nice work as I find it's very hard to get the balence between to much and to little....but having never seen a used feeder wagon I would have no idea -
Yer, mat is a very good mate of mine, He was my best man at my first wedding, and would have been at my second, but I was told that would be bad form . He loves a bit of compost They have just ordered a fendt 936 or the next hp down with a new dopshtad (spelling) compost turner as the 6900 just couldn't cope with it I live in Norwich mate

Small world, Very good frend of mine works for danarbon in that yard, just spoke to him on the phone, said I am looking a some pics of your yard on the forum he laughed and said thats prob the bloke with the little massy Knew how you were straight away . My frend did drive that loader but now I think he is a bit more of a yard manager, his names Mat you must have crossed paths at some stage

Funny that, when I was doing spuds on a farm years ago a 7840s hand break gave up mid tip at the grader...the front of the 14t baily whent straight through the roof nearly wet myself laughing It was a good frend who was also a contractor, spuds every were.

I found the front gards off a siku 718 are a good size. also don't fall into the trap I did doing my UH/siku 718 , if you need to extend the rear wheel arches do it now Going to look good tho

Close to finished with the tractor, done a bit on the back end, The UH back end was ok, but a bit chunky to look right so I had a bit of a play to make it look a little better, I must order some PMA stuff ::)I have removed the lift arms as with a PTO as low and the amount of spreading this set up would do I think I would have the arms of...just in case of a numpty moment and a bent shaft .I have left it with a modified euro hitch as to change all the drawbar of the spreader to fit a UK style PUH was just going to be to much work. And I have to say the detail and finish on the Amazone is very good I think the only thing I may change is the wheels as most pics I have seen they are running agri tyres and it 's not going to take to much to fit the old fendt wheels to it .May give it a break now for a couple of days as I have some JD stuff to play with I have done a little light weathering to the tyres, I think the wheels need some mat varnish to tone the red down a bit as it looks a bit plastic still. I'll not get into the weathering to much untill the diorama base is done

Thanks for that mate . I did used to use some of that stuff when I used to build tanks years ago, someone else reminded me of this sort of thing a couple of days ago......and I'm starting to think, workshop Or a tractor with Tiger barrel fitted, covered in zimerit, and a tank comander in the sunroof :D
-
Siku mudgards were cut off and fitted to the UH frame work, think they look ok,but the UH ones just didn't look right
-
done a little more tonight, put some of the papers in for Jez, and for Tris, can you spot the magic tree, just had to be done :D, think thats enough in there now

Cheers, I may do one with silver rims, but I do like the classic fendt look at the min.
