I didn't realy take to this when I started it .But now I love it, even got the compounds out to do the bonnet

Just incase mark thinks I have forgoton his tractor, the decals are here and fitted, the bonnet is only resting on the tractor at the min as I have one more grill to fit, then I will fit it as it should be....then make tractor dirty :'( , Ahhh It's no good i just don't think I will be able to do it

close to finished now, these row crops are a nightmare to get sitting right on the tractor, the fronts pointed in all directions...with positive camber and toe out , would be a funny thing to drive on the road,

Well I agree, the cab on the model is a little to far forward, if you look at the photo of the real tractor, look at the centre of the rear wheel,then make a line the the back of the cab...then look at the model, and do the same (yer I know the rear hub is a little smaller on the model, before some one gets smarty pants )

The kinkage took a fair bit of moding to fit, as it was to narrow for the chassis, photo of the wheels drying in my oven,,err I mean shed

Hi all, bit of time has past sice last on here,very busy with my day job at the min and when I do get in the shed it's just so bloody hot . done a bit on this today, poor chap has been waiting ages and I've still not finished the black JD yet . oh well I would rather take my time than rush it and send someone a naff rush job. anyway a few pictures of the JD

Glue the whole lot together in a modern art sorta way...maybe in the shape of a nude woman or errr somthing.then you will prob be able to sell at an auction for a million quid to some more money than sence art collector...........Just a thought If not shove them on the bay and make a few quid

Got some more done,was away over the weekend,if not I would have got it sorted bar the decals....that are on their way . I will post some more photos soon, but having pc probs again at the min,on my a borrowed laptop at the min and my camera software not instaled \ .I sodding hate computers!

Its the Ertl precision 8430(I think) with diffrent tyres and a pma linkage. It's being done for a chap who goes as Markduck on here,he did the mods,then sent it for the paint

Well, bit of a change from my normal Mud and dirt, but was asked if I could do a colour change and I said yes....FOOL I had no idea how much work was involved But it's sarting to get there now. Has taken ages as I have had to leave the paint to dry for days so as not to risk finger prints. And I wanted to do a proper job of it, not leaving a hint of the original green paintwork.(errrm but the green star thingy has stumped me a bit as the real one has not got it.....Mark, you should have cut it off )Haha Sods law tho, my full time job has now got very busy

Hi all I'm in a bit of a fix .I am in the middle of repainting an Ertl JD 8430 for one of the forum members,its going from green to black. Repaint is going to plan BUT I had someone lined up to do the bonet decals for me as they need to be changed from yellow to silver, but he has let me down at the last minute, I have pm'ed someone on here who I thought may be able to help, but alas he is unable to, would anyone be able to do this,or know who could??? as the tractor just will not look right with yellow decals. HELLLLLP Dave
