  1. Just read this thred from start to finish, bit sad realy :'(. to see it turn up and the joy of the first few jobs in the sunshine, to seeing it go on a lorry on a cold snow, damp day. You are not the only one to have a tractor in his home garage, this is behind my little excouncil house in the village,my garden has about 10 square meters of grass . But I run a contracting buisness from home
  2. Easy Jez , you boys will want 1/35 *** buts on the floor next!!.the manual for the control box is in there, stuffed down by a window, but I am going to make use of some of your offerings . Been in the shed...one phone and one *** cool box, must have been an Xmas gift from the wife Got the bonnet on to, bit of a fiddle as there were gaps everywere, made worse as the siku bonnet is not as tall as the UH one by about 3mm and I have also jacked the cab up 2mm,thus a few gaps to fill,It's not perfect but it will do
  3. Hmmm I can do a verlinden 1/35 playboy mag . GI's in nam style.
  4. OMG...I should have done a JCB, bigger cab . CB is in mate , hmmm phone, now off to have a look at pm
  5. NoNo . I made up a spade holder for my JD6810 just behind the front weight, But for the model, well something had to be in there, ........hold on 1/35 cool box, hmmm got me thinking now
  6. Ahh sod the cows! they can cross there legs, get on with this....looks great (can you tell I don't do livestock )
  7. Think I finished in the cab, done a little more today, put a spade and a few other bits in, bit more tonight I hope. Not sure if it's still going to be the 718 now or the 820 as the bonnet is a much better fit, Any way few pics, put a flask in as the diorama is going to be "stopped for tea break"
  8. On the right path but may be a bit thick, cheep radio ariel
  9. When I was part of jd they didn't let us near langer, ask about the old training centre in notingham in the late 90s, it was on an industrial estate! but inside it looked like the photo you posted with the workshop with a couple of tractors, whitebord etc. we did all our training this time of year, cold, wet, snow outside and heated workshop inside....Zzzzzzz. we used to have a laugh those days as the teaching staff were cleaver chaps, new all the working presures, system voltages etc but came straight from university, HNDs and stuff but had never actualy been fitters, thus had no idea how to take stuff apart,.........hope thats changed Oh and to be fair I think a lot of the sleep was due to the errr....drink the night before
  10. Been to the shop, and here it is . once I have finished the tractor, I'll get weathering
  11. Just been looking at your photos mate, brings back some thoughts of years gone by.....and trying to stay awake in those nice warm teaching workshops with one of you boys rabbiting on about ECU's and stuff, I used to last at least an hour . Why no photo of the room were the new people are held down and given the green injection?
  12. No.....but ur close ( and I can't afford a uh sprayer at the min \)
  13. Going a bit mad in tyhe cab at the min, controll box in the cab to match whats going on the back
  14. very nice model, clean work. To buy wiking class to rip the wheels and hitch off............Hard core
  15. Once you have the glass sorted you need to do a few mods to the cab, first remove and save the hinges and handels , then cut what would be the rubber from around the door frame then repaint the black rubber
  16. I was asked if I would show how I open the doors etc on models by someone lookin at my 718 thred, so here goes . This is my way of doing this, I suspect others have better ways of doing it After dismanteling the cab to the stage that you can get the glass out I simply use a sharp knife and score around the doo I want to open, take your time as one slip and you can be off accross the glass with the blade......and thats a bad thing. once you have scored a deep line you can carfully break the glass out. Once this has been done you can trim it to size, then sand all the edges, finaly polishing at the end I'm not going to use any of the other glazing on the model I am doing
  17. Just put a bit in the hints and tips section
  18. For the first time in a week Ive been in the shed, and following some advice I have narrowed the front track a bit , err but not the best photo to show it
  19. Haha . have to try hard to do a convo not already done, nice job mate
