  6. phill ,i once operated a 615 with belly tanks, for a contractor & it's just nice that you can run from farm to farm without worrying about fuel till the van turned up with a bowser, we had 4 trailers running , two mowers & a 695 mega & the pit tractor to refuel thats a lot of fuel to pull around all the time , so if we could get away with it , the tractors were refuelled every other day
  7. s reg JD 7810 with set ov verdestsdt discs .........................driven by a 12 yearold \

  9. 1st ; find a large room with a lock on the door so's that wife & kids can't disturb you 2nd; take a few weeks off work & get busy we're waiting for the pics
  10. depends on the 'hard patch' rob , nah hit something hard & the whole thing goes pearshaped , bigger plough bigger mess !, worst i've ever ploughed was a reclaimed orchard, stumps were all out , but the roots took the best part of 50 odd shearbolts , not the best days ploughing i've had \
  11. oooh i'm in lust :P :P :D got to be pretty dry to kick up that much dust for maize \ although it's not as high a crop as what we usually see over here
  12. thought we were talking about marky for a minute there :D doesn't look like the soil would create too much problems for the jcb though looks easy enough to work
  13. done a lot of work there mart & looks a job well done , you still looking for an 82 ? don't rule out a 956 /1056 IH / C-IH they are damn good workhorses & to my mind better value for money than the ford , like massy the name bumps the price up do well to at least look at a few for a first tractor
  14. got home from another night , & put 3 sugars in my tea & am running wild on a sugar rush !
  15. at a guess ricky ,it either equiped with saddle tanks for extra fuel , or that tool locker on the off side prohibits the amount of room they'd need ,
  16. looks more like a dooburywotsit rather than a thingamejig rob ! :D nice pic
  17. just looked at the pic again , ,would have been worthy of a place in the photo comp. got to admit , there's something about the 600 series that makes it a really nice tractor to see working , especially one in that condition , the ford 7610SQ were the same , best get rory on the case !
  18. humph , still waiting for my kids to break their new-ray tractor & loader , as have had my eye on it for a while
  19. looking at the moldboards i'd say it's a bit sticky to plough , not worried about burying the trash either \ tractor does look wel though , no colour fade or rust to show of
  20. haven't seen a FOX's tractor for ages , obviously still going then , used to see loads of them out round wiviliscombe / wellington way, originally set up by a small group of farmers i think
  21. do i take it barry that the wand is to ward off all things massey & failing that the thing in her other hand is to beat marky over the head with ? :D
  22. this is the bit i don't understand , siku bought out the wuhlmaus & now the grimme SP , so why on earth havn't britains built one like DT has ? blimey you see them all over the country & over in europe , so why not scaled to 1 /32 for us ? been a long time coming & we're still waiting !
  23. i'll help you out here jas , the 'pole' is just there for marking out when ploughing or mowing & it isn't actually a pole , its a mechanical persuader or in other words a buckrake tine for beating implements when they get jammed or blocked up ! :D
