  1. going all out on this one then jas ? looking very detailed & professionally built , are the parmiter colours still orange ? with all the emphisis on min till operations now, discs are making a comeback big time how many sets can you have finished for toy-trac then ? look forward to see it finished , any more going to be joining it or is this a one off build ?
  2. you couldn't unload awhalmus into boxes anyway as it's a bunker harvester , the bruising & damage to the potatoes would be too great, there are still hundreds of acres all don in bulk sean , tipped into sheds & then loaded into bulk conveyor trailers , no boxes at all . being a bunker harvester you don't need two tractors hauling either , just drop a trailer at the headland & take the loaded one
  3. you'd have to be at the price of them ! \
  4. yu hear about tractors with bombproof this & that , but it seams fiat as a whole tractor is bombproof, bit like the deutz , not many people have them , but those who have very rarely get rid of them think their body panels are a bit suspect but other than that not really heard a bad word against them think CT did a buyers guide on one late 2005 early 2006 got a good review
  5. there were loads of 3000series tractors round my way mart , till gliddons cut back on the workshops & the deere dealers started pushing the 6series hard with can't refuse deals . many of the fergie users have either gone fendt, deere or valmet/valtra,but there are still a few die hard ford /NH users about here, the valtra dealer is now McCormick so they're having a big impact in the area at the moment , the yard is only 5min walk from my house & is full of new tractors
  6. very nice bit of work done there brian matter of fact , i'm on the phone to deerest now just to nark him off hello tris bestist bud , what's that ? can't see the pics on yer phone ? :D :D fantastic ? oh yes but you'll have to wait till yer home , hint : tris dissconnect the tracker ,then andy cant see you coming home
  7. the 26 is the equivilent to the 6200 approx in power mart in the 80-90 hp bracket , cabs not as good as the SG2 but it's a good cab none the less, good tractor for a start up , friend has a 2650 with SG2 cab with a trima loader & reckons it's a damn good tool very easy to drive & very manuverable in small yards , they pull their 8tonners no probs & if they have to the 10 tonner doesn't create too many problems either. worth looking at
  8. you could always e-bay it mike , that way you'll probably recoup your costs by double the ammount you've spent ! other than that id just change the decals to a 590
  9. grip the top of the bucket & loader headstock & gently push the bottom of the bucketaway from the headstock then just lift off the bucket hooks
  10. tris is quite right sean , else the 390 would effectively be bigger than the 699 \
  11. :o :o i really can't believe you just said that nigel i recomend you go wash your mouth out with a bar of soap young man \ :( :D
  12. sorry mate .it doesn't look too impressive to me , it's got the same tyres as the MF6290...... they look bald , the front linkage is no good to man nor beast, just a rehash of the original from what i can see
  13. if the floor's rotted mark ,it's a cab off job & some serious grinding & welding
  14. i wouldn't have thought a britains MF6180 would be the size chassis you'd be looking for
  15. compitition may well have ended , but if you got 'em post 'em well done to the he other entries , not the best time of year to enter as many people are busy but nice pics from those who found the time to take part :)
  16. thats what was here nige , a 2680 chassis , bonnet fitted with a 600 sreiers floorpan & cab , the finish was really good , but the tractor itself was too big to be a believeable 699
  17. there was a pic of a 699 derived 26 but although it looked good it just didn't look right , great finish , great model , but it just wasn't the right size to be the right scale
  18. tell me it's not true , \ you're not really doing an cab change on a 2000series to get a 600 are you :(
  19. stands to reason nash , you wouldn't pay ?600 for MOT repairs for a car thats only worth ?300
  20. we looking at the same tractor sean ? rear mudguard would need cutting & re-welding the seam along the top of cab & roof would need serious work & i daresay the floorpan is rotted
  21. just looking around his site , i recon half the stuff he got in stock is a bit pricey. someone must really love that tractor \ 15K for a gearbox ? that can't be right can it ? rule of thumb ; when the cost of the repair , is more than half the worth of the machine , don't bother
  22. well no ones stopping you
