  1. marky , i havn't got any now but i used to use that solid styrene insulation board cut to shape for big square bales as they are very light & easy to cut as for round bales take a look at some face painting sponges, dawn threw loads of them out before xmas(knackered) a little thinner than the britains round bales but the same diameter, as for colours leave them alone for straw or dip them in dye / water colour paint for grass or wrap.
  2. nice trailers CP those sides look awfully high, are they the britains fittings ?
  3. how much would it be worth with a replacement axle & or just as it is ?
  4. shame they stopped dumpy bags as they were an ideal way to get them stacked up high
  5. Oh yes & they'll have to be in working order :D
  6. glad the britains front wheels were used as i feel a lot better about mine now :D very nice model :)
  7. nice tractor that i have used a 2850 2wd for hedgetrimming good tractor to use
  8. the red sulfur lights give a good effect to the photo as well :)
  9. sorry F-P but metre cubed doesn't mean a thing to me all i know is they weigh 500cwt / 500kgs / half a ton . but i used to haul fertiliser off the docks & from ICI & we lined them 3 abreast on the bed & never have i seen or hauled 2 abreast to fill a trailer & 4C's truck should have an orange square plate on the front & rear to show it's hauling hazardous materials & a red trem card hung on the front passenger seat :) attention to detail 4C
  10. which one isn't quite 1/32 as you should be able to get 3 bags across the bed of the trailer
  11. will keep an eye out for them ,be just my luck to find a shelf full of scania's \ \ \
  12. those wheels & tyre must match ? i still think the ammount of wear is deceiving
  13. where can i find these trucks & at what sort of price ?
  14. it may well do in 2wd but if the rears were not matching the fronts when in 4wd then there would be a conflict of ground speed & something has to give . eg. my old 3080 had 38" rears & 28" fronts it ran well in both 4 & 2wd as the gears were calibrated for these sizes to be operated together but if it was running with 36" rears & 28" fronts then it would be disasterous trying to run them together coz if the rears & fronts found good grip at the same time the bit in the middle will go bang, sure as eggs is eggs.
  15. i know the one , could of bought you out a cuppa :D
  16. oh yeah i forgot, i saw your opposite number (renault) on the ilminster by-pass the other day going to ilchester i presume ?
  17. you can't compare a scania top-line to a cf the p cabbed scanias maybe & even then i'd go for the cf . but then you've got no taste deer-est after all you do drive a renault \ DAF 1 SCANIA 0
  18. is that trailer home made 4c ? as it looks he part :) having driven both i'd definately choose the DAF. deer-est ?
  19. i've really missed seeing the big beet harvesters round our way this year as many growers havn't grown any braggs sold his MATROT last year ,that was an elevator model though ,but it certainly kept the tractors running full chat to keep up, good to see you've got some dry ground to run on , really good pics thanks gavin :)
  20. yeah ,after the third time of trying you start loosing the will to live , but it it would be worth it
  21. you ought to put up a photo diary of your trip, deer-est ,make some good reading that would :)
