  1. yeah, got it sussed now deer-est just having the time to finish it , i will get round to it in the next week
  2. if it was breeze blocks then there is only one colour, grey the tinwork would be either a dark blue or green unless you're going for the older fibre cement look of which again is grey. i scanned the britains walling from the sheds but the red /brown doesn't look right
  3. looks good marky , never seen red blockwork before except the britains sheds as for the doors i dont envy you i thought about it but shied away from anything awkward , that & i like to see whats going on in the shed
  4. Would need a hellish display case Marky :D
  5. Oh F-P you didn't have to go into detail for him :D :D http://www.troisiemepoint.net/article.php?num=378
  6. just got to marker uop the doors & windows like mine now powerstar
  7. we converting sticks now are we ? :D whats wrong now nath ??? :D
  8. yeah, dad could never work out why his stanley blade went missing or why he had a big box of cassettes without cases :D :D :D
  9. the turbo straight exhaust is a peice of single strand heavy duty electrical wire from cooker lead, bent into shape? & thats it .I have used this on a couple of fords as well & it doesnt look too bad . the polishing / grinding tool was a xmas present from the wife for just this sort of thing with my tractor hobby? ? (i nearly fell off my chair) As far as i can tell? it's part of the? workshop range from WOOLWORTHS , it is variable speed all sorts of grinding & polishing attatchments? but has no cutting tools for it ,so will have to find some parts soon. the bonnet was already shiney it was the old decal residue that was polished off as if you spend too much time trying to polish the plastic you take the glazed finish off . yes i think the 27's did have a taller air cleaner but will have to find a pic to be sure ,Marky can you confirm this (should never have given my leaflets away? )
  10. blimey i don't think even F-P would try a 8560 to make it look like a 2680 :D :D
  11. as close as you're gonna getto it marky :D i don't want your dribble or drool messing my paintwork up :D :D
  12. no just the dry buffing pad thanks for all the good replies , thats the best thing about this place ...............you lot :) i was maybe thinking about using the wheels from a siku DEUTZ 210 for the 2720 to beef it up a bit
  13. this was an original MF 590 , but is very played with ,& now 4wd , if i'd have known how much they would be worth it wouldn't look like this? \ if you look carefully you can just see the 0 from 590 in the pic hindsight is a wonderfull thing? : the 595 staerted out as a dual-wheeled model, but stopped that idea when it wouldn't go through the britains gates .
  14. it was on one of the 26's in the silage pics but have put the original ones back on
  15. just by changing the decals i recon the 27 looks bigger than the 26 \ even i must admit they make a great pair of models & i'm chuffed as nuts with them? i recon this tractor was one of the last great models to come from the older britains range
  16. the cab & wheels are coloured silver because they were bought during the time when britains were releasing them with white cabs & wheels? a few arty shots? you could say they were a present from seanta xmas :D :D
  17. last thing to do is get the cab looking a bit more realistic by using a marker pen & run it along the raised mouldings that are the window frames to get the rubber strip effect i also coloured the inside of the cab black (taking out the glass) the drivers door was also blacked as this is how i remember them in real life ?
  18. next up was the cleaning of the bonnet pannels ,as we all know you cannot remove thes decals without leaving some sticker glue behind all polished up & ready for the new decals
  19. well after picking a candidate from 1 of 3 i decided to get the decals off a good one as the bonnet was in better condition the worst one has a landini 1000s grill glued on a magi-deutz air cleaner glued onto it & a glassless cab, the one i picked had the decals on the wrong way round . got the floorpan of & swapped it with one i painted black some years back for a cab refurb
  20. no, i think it's all spelt correctly :D :D :D sorry ben
  21. sorry mate ,i forgot i'd posted that here as well? the wheels on the rear in that pic are from new-ray toys? the centers leave a lot to be desired but the width of the tyres do look the part here's a few pics of the wheels that are on the fords
  22. you really are bonkers arn't you \
