  1. After two let downs, one for help and one for scaffolding; Terry brought down his big set of step ladders and we hit into the high part of the house with the abrasive wheel in the grinder and knocked out the pointing. What we did in about an hour would have taken me a month of evenings by hand. I had been using a stone cutting blade to open the joints and a mortar joint chisel and hammer to knock the mortar out. Not much left to do now and the lime mortar for re-pointing is being ordered in just a minute or two :) :)
  2. Nice shot See that drill from the road every time I pass by and never seen it move! Nice to see the great big thing is used after all. Mavis is a fine looking girl mind
  3. Nice touch that, Mark. One thing though, whos balls did that cat bite off?!!!
  4. Whilst it looks quite good, when people take photos of new products why can't they ensure everything is correct?!!!! Reel bars are all on the pi$$ and one tyre is on back to front. Can you imagine JD previewing this at Agritechnica and having a tyre on the wrong way round or bent parts? The press would have a field day!!!!
  5. Ah that's not the set I have, yes with the items being more of a fixed down type that you would stand at then yes they do look a wee bit small. The set I have has axle stands, air compressor and so on. Jez has the same set and he used the workshop air compressor as a mobile one fitted to a service trailer/fuel bowser to good effect and the axle stands were ideal for an atv or something. Cannot remember what else was in the set.
  6. Sounds to me Gav he may not be quite the bloke a farm needs now but don't discourage him for trying. If I was a 'youngun' and read those kind of things about me I'd be gutted. As a kind of mentor, you need to do just that. Nothing wrong in pointing out somebody's shortfalls but doing it in the wrong way will only put pressure on the boy and few react well to pressure, especially at his age.
  7. Shall I bring the 178 I'm collecting too? i can just imagine you pair being the class clowns at the back! :D
  8. Off down towards Exeter airport today to where a farm sale was held. I have three tractors to collect. Traci is coming along for a ride out so we may stop for an ice-cream at a farm owned ice-cream cabin on the A30 on our way home
  9. Nice power harrowing photos, Chris. The NH looks smart on the low pressure tyres too. You must have really enjoyed your time with this farm 8)

The Fiat G looks very very nice. Not sure about the slight curve in the roof profile towards the rear of the cab though However, if it appears in blue I won't hesitate to buy one!!!!! :of
  11. Delivered ten loads of logs and since 14.30 I have been wrapping silage bales. Boss is a New Holland man and always has been. However, today he has a Lely rp435 round baler on demo. Having used it very successfully in straw he thought he'd better try it when baling grass is at it's most trying! We are very impressed and I don't think the BR7070 would be much of a challenge for speed or bale density or maintenance. . .
  12. I have a beauty of an 8210 made for me by Mattias. It was beeore the days of the UH 7810 and he cut and joined two 6600 blocks. I'll try and find the topic later unless someone gets a chance before I do.
  13. I was hoping so too Maybe another Toytrac unveiling?
  14. That lot will almost certainly have gone out of the country completely undetected in containers. Eastern Europe going by the makes and so on. Far too easy. Anyone using a tractor daily won't want the hassle of having to refit a battery as part of their morning feeding routine, the alternative may be no more tractor but it's a consequence few give thought too. I'll keep a note of the registrations Mike, you never know what may get picked up at an auction or seen at a yard.
  15. That TM looks mint, Paul. Bit small on the 'phone. I wondered how long you'd keep it quiet for and going by my watch, 9hrs! Smart as. And the Valtra, Ian. That's a pretty special looking bit of kit too, like that
  16. Today, college. Tomorrow, Eygpt! Useful thing to know though, Josh. Always handy to know a bricky :)
  17. That's lovely. Excellent detail around the back and the ramp 8)
  18. That's better, now I am home I can see the photos! The 'phone is a bit basic when it comes to viewing the Forum from it Looks like you hit the ground running with the wall, that's nice that is. I should think the fence will look good once done as well, I take it the electricity company called by with some old poles to get rid of? Ideal for cattle fencing Hope to see more of this coming along, it's nice to see a new member with a new found interest taking to building a layout. (Just don't get so engrossed in it you mistake the glue gun for you cup of tea. ... )
  19. Storeman will look into it for you Bob They have had 880 sets done before so if he can't track a set of 820's down he can pass on the details of the guy who makes the one offs for Howards. Like the set being done for the MF158 in the workshop
  20. The scale is wrong but workshop tools come in all shapes and sizes so the 1/43 Snap On tools can be used with good effect
  21. It's not even 12pm and I'm parked up at Launceston havhng delivered the recently bought Bateson trailer and sprayer buggy to Exeter and collected a Zetor 4wd loader a MF590 2wd from two places near Callington. Oh and 50ac were bought last night taking the farm over 600ac owned & rented. . . . and I thought I was just getting on top of the hedgetrimming!
  22. It slipped my mind Bob, I'll ask the storeman when I get back.
